It's not next generation. The term you're looking for is called a gimmick. I do own a Vita, but I did not buy it for the touch screens. I bought it because it is one hell of a handheld!
@decrypt
I know right? Blizzard is struggling to keep the network up.
I thought the controller looked really onerous actually. It just seemed like this giant square I had to hold up the entire time.
Ahaha read this and laughed so hard at the part about Mario.
I'm sorry who comes out with new IP every couple of months and offers a lot of free software on their online store?
Yeah I don't see how it will be under $300 unless they are going to take a massive hit. One Swedish company estimated the controller to cost 135 pounds which is just around $200.
That is pricey!!
Not sure about that. Do you really think the Wii U has high-end PC graphics? Or is it just a crappy port?
Dead on!
You're such the typical fan boy. Wii U will not sell. I'm friends with several Nintendo fan boys and NONE of them are going to buy one on launch day. Why would they? A console that is NEXT GEN that can't run native 1080p and has no games to help over look its flaw in graphics and power. I agree games help make a system, but Nintendo doesn't have any for the Wii U.
I literally crapped myself when you said they have the best launch line up of all time. Are you ...
You do realize the casual market is gone right? Why would I buy a game I could have gotten in the 1980's in the year 2012 on a "next-gen" console. See the funny thing is Nintendo is supposed to be appealing to core gamers. In reality, they have nothing but 2D Mario games and dance games. Tell me, how is that supposed to sell a console?
Ahaha they're disagreeing because they don't have a response lol.
I think you mean the only talked about title lol.
My thoughts exactly. Old and crappy games are not going to capture the core audience. The only people who are going to buy a Wii U are Nintendo fan boys, no one else. Personally, I see no reason to buy it.
Haha, a game I could have gotten three months ago on any other console without and onerous console. Sorry, Nintendo is blowing this if they are appealing to core gamers.
No it's sucking about 30 minutes in.
Check their website you may not be so disappointed ;)
Maybe accurate. I think if you switched Sony and Ubisoft it would probably be better. I mean, Ubisoft threw Sony a bone during their conference with AC 3/L and Far Cry 3. I have to say I'm a die hard Sony fanboy, but this conference really hampered my spirits especially since I own a Vita. There was some support for the Vita, but not nearly enough. Instead they focused on the Move which was a mistake.
Yes, the conference was a disappointment but if you look at Playstation's website it won't seem as bad as it was. The Vita's game section nearly doubled. They added close to 30 games on their website. Of course some of these are smaller games and the like, but still. There are also a ton of new games for the PS3 which they didn't really touch on, not sure why. All 'n all I think Sony sort of blew it. The move needs to go die. The only thing that looked good was AC 3/L, The...
We're in the 21st century just so you know. Secondly, all of the technology that Nintendo is using is already available to them lol. Sony will also have more powerful hardware so why would they need to copy it?
