a multiplat game outsells an exclusive. zomg, how did that happen?
ps3 owners had a choice between infamous and/or prototype. some chose infamous, some chose prototype. maybe some chose both.
360 owners only had prototype to choose from. add in the fact that 360 owners dont have much to choose from during the first half of 09. i bet if Infamous also released on the 360 the ratio would be about 50/50.
they cut the ps3 price to $299, there wont be a big boost in hardware sales.
parents that go into the store see a videogame console for $399, and one for $199.. guess which one they'll buy for their kids?? parents dont know sh't about value when it comes to videogame consoles.
even though the ps3 is worth the $399, it just isnt mass market price for alot of people.

this holiday, the 360 has Halo ODST. the ps3 has Uncharted 2, all other games probably wont matter for ps3 or 360.
then there's Modern Warfare 2. this game is gonna destroy the competition. period. putting out MAG at the same time might not be the best idea. releasing any game within the same period as MW2 would be stupid.
it's funny how 360 gamers have no good exclusives to play in the beginning of 09, then brag when MS releases all it's games in the last 3 months of the year. wtf. you guys cant seriously be happy about that strategy.

anyways, Modern Warfare 2 will be king this holiday. and that's fact.
Halo ODST should sell well, so should Uncharted 2.
honestly i dont think Zipper wants anything to do with Modern Warfare 2. MW2 is just gonna overshadow everything this holiday season.
plus this gives them more time to polish the game.
ps3 easily. sony's 1st party studios are stacking up nicely while MS's is diminishing.
if i want to play halo or gears, or any MS 1st party games i could buy them for my PC.

i wonder when Heavy Rain is gonna release. quantic dream delayed the game to avoid the big hitters this holiday season, and they're gonna walk into god of war 3, Gran Turismo 5, final fantasy 13. etc.
EA had the nerve to say MMA is not a real sport, and they wanted nothing to do with it. now that UFC Undisputed is out and shipped a couple million units, EA is suddenly interested. f'ck you EA. EA can go suck it.
the thing that worries me is that dana white is not the boss of the UFC, it's the fertita brothers. if the brothers decide to do business with EA then they will go over dana because they're the real bosses.

oh please. 360 fanboys think they are "beating" the ps3 with a 7 million console lead? that aint sh't. MS had a year head start with no competition and that's all they could accomplish.

the ps2 sold 150 mil and still going. xbox sold what, 25 mil tops.
now that's what i call a "beating".
the only thing MS has over Sony this gen is xbox live and even then, sony is closing the gap by constantly improving psn which is free.
