f'ck valve anyway. i dont play any of their games and dont intend to with their sh'ty attitude towards ps3. if they do release games for ps3 i sure as hell aint buying them.

as much as i love uncharted 2, the matchmaking is still pretty bad.
they need to fix that first. i still get matched up against low levels with my team being all high levels. how does that happen? or sometimes i would be the only high level on my team and the other team is stacked.
they also need to let other players join if someone quits the game. it cant be that hard to do if modern warfare 1 does that.
i never played any battlefield games before but this one is pretty awesome. i just finished a 2 hour session.
it has that weighty feel that killzone 2 has and the weapons have a ton of kick to them. i had no idea what to do at first and i kept getting owned but i got used to it.
this game really feels like there's a war/battle going on. the vehicle gameplay is awesome. i felt super nervous driving a tank into a suburban area and boom i got hit with rpg's. LO...
period.
there's no way in hell the game cost 200 million in total. just look at the results. the game looks a little better than MW1 from 2 years ago. you'd think it would look super amazing if that amount of money was spent.
i just finished the game last night and its safe to say they did not spend anywhere near that amount of money.
just my guess but MW2 probably cost around 5 to 15 million to make. activision probably spent around the same...
like i said before the masses are idiots and they will vote for modern warfare 2. it's pretty much guaranteed. i'll be pretty surprised if any other game wins GOTY.
no one should take VGA's GOTY award seriously anyway. they're just looking for the most hits and publicity they can get and giving MW2 goty will give them that.
Uncharted 2 SHOULD win game of the year because it deserves it.
but sadly since the people are voting, it's probably gonna go to Modern Warfare 2. the masses are idiots.

hmm thats a good score. im still debating if i should get this or not. it's pretty much the same game with some improvements but so is every other sequel. the sp campaign is short, but the mp is what makes cod great.
most of my psn friends will buy the game, so i can own them online. the graphics look to be improved from the first game(they better be after 2 years) but dont even come close to killzone 2 or uncharted 2. IW shoulda took that budget activision was wiling to...
prolouge sold around 4 mil? 4 mil x $40 = 160 mil.
lets say sony get's half of that. so that's 80 mil. sony's still up 20 mil. (if that's how they split revenue up)
so basically GT5 will be profitable day one it goes on sale. good for sony i guess.
as long as the game is fun i'll buy it.
we need more games like this. devs need to take more risks and try out new genres.

naughty dog should fix the terrible matchmaking before anything else. i love uncharted 2 but the matchmaking is pretty bad. it seems like 60 percent of the time one team is stacked, either mine or the other team and its just a slaughter fest.
for example, last night my team was full of lvl 30's, against a team with a level 25, and all single digit lvls'. i was like "omg, wtf". then me and my team proceeded to slaughter them. it didnt feel right at all. 2 player...
nintendo was smart. they used really cheap out dated hardware, packed it with "super awesome motion controls" and got all casuals to buy their console.
let's face it. the wii is gamecube 1.5 nintendo did the smart thing for themselves as a company and thats why they will survive.
value wise if you look at the wii... it's crap compared to the ps3 and 360 but casuals dont care about that.
killzone 2 is awesome. ive put 200 hours online. i only stopped playing it cuz of uncharted 2.
sony should be marketing this game along with uncharted 2... like in the same commercials. all the new ps3 owners will have a blast with his games.

G.G. needs to make KZ3 the best possible game it can be. i hope they take their time with it. they already have the engine in place, so now i want to see a much better SP story/campaign. better character development. better dialogue betweeen the characters. and they need to kill off rico.

im sure naughty dog will iron things out and make things fair.
