It's 1 "report" from one warranty service provider. I didn't see any mention to when these units were covered. Are they launch units or falcon units with the faster chip and heat sinks?
Most people don't purchase extended warranties. I sent my unit back to MS in McAllen Texas (U.S.). MS covered it themselves. We are never going to know an accurate number and at this point it doesn't matter anymore as long as the failure rate is a thing of the past in the newer models....

I have 250g in my PS3 so 5g barely even causes a dent.
The PGR series is incredible. I stopped playing Forza 2 (sold it) after I beat it. I still play PGR. They are entirely different games but I prefer the mix of arcade / sim to pure sim. Forza 2 is an excellent game but not everyone is a diehard sim fan.
I actually like all racing games but PGR is my favorite.
defer to the next available person when the host quits? Or is it like the 360 version and you end up having to look for another lobby? I am just wondering if IW addressed this on the PS3 if the problem exist.
Also are there spawn issues on the PS3 version?
For as much as this game sold you would think IW would be more on the ball to get them right for both console in all countries ASAP.

I have both games. Completed it on the 360 and I am half way done the PS3 version. They are both awesome.

This is going to be another B title that is better off being rented then purchased. Does it really matter? How many decent titles does EA put out any more? Most of them are not in house games but companies like Criterion that make good games. And we all know how that title turned out.
It's EA's problem if they are behind the times, not Sony's.
when I saw this demo from G4. Hopefully there will be better looking backgrounds then that in the game.
I use to be a diehard PC gamer but I was constantly spending too much money upgrading my hardware. Now I feel the money is better spent on 1080p displays and surround sound systems to play my 360 and PS3 on.
One shot price for a console vs constantly spending money to upgrade a PC. The only thing I miss about PC gaming is they are better at patching and upgrading games. This is still one area console are lacking.

They both have good engines although I prefer IW over Treyarch. Why do they feel the need to keep cycling between the two developers?

every month. I don't think it's going to slow down any time soon. Just look at COD4 this past month on both systems and figure in the user base for both consoles. COD4 on the 360 is selling at slightly more than 2 to 1 but the 360 user base is (I am guessing. I'm sure one of you guys probably know the actual numbers because I don't pay that much attention to them) is probably closer to 3 to 1.
Break that down and this past month COD4 is selling as good as if not better on the ...
