Game Fan was incredible. Their strategy guides were the best. I still have a few in storage (mags and guides).
and now look at them. Sad how far they have sunk. I'd rather read from blog sites. Gaming journalism in general is at an all time low but GS definitely tops the list of garbage and sites that should be avoided / ignored.

LBP + <insert nearly any game inspired mod> = ZOMG WIN!
This game is simply mind boggling. I have a feeling it's going to become a phenomenon and new trend setter for gaming generations to come. We are going to look back on this generation (Wii, 360 & PS3) as the time LBP was created, discovered and explored by all gamers (young, old, casual, hardcore and even "some" people that never played a game before in their life).

In my honest and humble opinion. User generated content is going to be mind numbing. I can't wait to see GOW, GeOW, Halo, R&C, Resistance, etc... inspired user generated content that will be created.

Most if not all multi platform games sound better on the PS3. Fact and not an opinion. Half of Bioshocks appeal is the immersion of the sound. Especially when you hear Big Daddy and Little Sis off in the distance and during battles with Big Daddy.
This game is meant to be played in the dark with the surround sound cranked! The sub gave my chills at times on the 360 version. If I am correct I am going to have to borrow a couple nitro pills from my pops just incase I have to kick...

I will pick up Pure used or cheap off of an online auction (Amazon or eBay). It's not a full price purchase title for me. It reminds me of SSX (which I loved) on ATV's but with less tricks.
It's a decent looking and fun arcade game but it's not "appear" to have enough depth / longevity to it. Then again I will try to keep an open mind and wait for some user reviews and opinions to be sure.

why most of my friends that play WoW online have a higher XBL gamerscore than me? I admit my gamerscore isn't that high (28k) but I game often.

There are more people playing that game daily on the PC than people on XBL or PSN in any given country. Now mind you I am not saying on XBL or PSN all around the globe daily "but any given" country. There are over 10 million users on WoW and That is WOW!
Personally I have never played the game but I know a few people that have since it has launched and they haven't stopped. Just is just one game for the PC. That in itself tells me PC ...
There are a couple 3rd party controllers for the PS3 that have similar tension that the 360 controller has. I just purchased a Logitech Precision Wireless PS3 Game Pad 940-000018 and it's awesome for shooters. The hand grips are ergo, thumb sticks are shorter and they have more tension then the DS3. Look into them if you are serious about possibly picking up a PS3.

This isn't a "DUH" article but a weak analyst that needs to do better reaserch. Please tell this analyst to explain to us why Sony has been out selling the 360 nearly every month for the past year at more expensive price point.
Pure is a "pure" arcade racer on ATV's while pulling off tricks to build your meter to pull off more tricks. There is no depth to it. I would never pay full price for a game that shallow. I might pick it up when it drops in price or from an online auction if the price is right.
The same old crap port after port. Side by side comparisons and fanboy arguments over which one is superior. Who cares? The game is a year old. It is going to be mostly a rental or buried under a pile of other top titles coming out this year for the PS3.
