And where was Halo 5 game play footage, Gears announcement and megaton exclusive stolen or new IP?
Where was actual gameplay footage of Horizon or Quantum Break?
What is the new Crackdown? Is it a sequel or online game?
I was really underwhelmed.
@morganfell
I couldn't agree more. The majority of games they showed were either already announced, multiplat or indie games (you know, the games that don't matter)?
I was texting with a few friends and they were all like WTF, I'm seeing nothing that I'm really excited for. I kept saying they will announce something big at the end. They're going to show Halo 5 footage and announce Gears with a quick teaser trailer. Plus they will announce ...
The mere fact they opened with this announcement has me nervous. I mean this is like Phil coming out and saying, "water is wet."
But Nurburgring, my favorite track of all time, is up for Forza 5. FINALLY!
If opinions are now officially facts than what are facts?
This is breaking news. Entertainment Fuse was allowed behind the Sony curtains to see all they have to offer pre-E3. That must've been exciting. Well at least the idea of it. I'm sorry you were so disappointed by what they showed you but can you tell us what they will be revealing later? The suspense is killing me. Although now, thanks to you, I'm totally deflated. /EXTREME SARCASM
They didn't build all of the tracks from scratch. Only some of them were laser scanned (the real world tracks). Not all the real world tracks were laser scanned either. Just some of them like Bathurst and Silverstone. All the fictional tracks like the Bernese Alps track (real world location but fictional track) were reused from F4 and polished / updated a bit than ported to the new gen X1.
I originally thought all of them were built from the ground up to but once I starte...
@memots
"It's not turn 10, it's mostly ms" - you should've stopped there.
MS was the number one driving force behind paying to play and the swing to paying for DLC. Look no further than XBL and Gears of War. EA and Activision turned it into an art form and now nearly every developer / publisher is now on board.
Turn 10 has turned lots of their once fans off with their DLC. I have been a Forza fan since the original game ...

I could see an article asking questions like this a week from now but now pre E3. "Gaming media worthwhile source of information or nothing of value to say other than sensationalism and more worthless banter / fodder?"
If you don't mind used. Gamefly is selling it for -$30. BluRay disc are really hard to scratch. I picked up a copy from them and it was flawless and the case was never used or manual never opened. Since all they send you is the disc in a sleeve when you rent from them.
I agree as well.
I like the PS4 version better. It's a shame Reptile isn't on the same level of popularity as Sub Zero and Scorpion. His green outfit would look better on the X1 cover.
I just wish we didn't have to wait until 2015 to get our hands on this game. I want a fighter now.
I disagree. An ultimate gamer wouldn't limited themselves to one format.
I consider myself a hardcore / ultimate gamer and I own them all. I have a very capable PC rig (Dual GTX Classified 590s) and I rarely use it. I prefer console gaming.
All I keep hearing is how this game was ruined (now crippled) by the hype (which was mostly media driven. You know, those that rate the games) yet, not only did this site rate it over 8 (a great score by any standards) but so did the rest of the gaming media. Considering this game has an overall average rating above 8.
Now only that but this game is selling beyond expectations. Can someone, anyone, explain to me how this game was crippled or ruined when it has a great overall...
Like I said 2 weeks ago to truefan1

30fps is fine for racing games like Horizon, PGR, NFS, and yes, Drive Club. I'm really looking forward to a new Horizon. I must've logged 300hrs into the last version.
I really wish MS, Sony, Nintendo and all the devs and publishers would dial down all these E3 expectations.
What I would like to see from all of them is, "we are excited and very pleased with what we are going to present at this years E3."
That's it. Full stop.
They should all strive to make us excited "after" we see what they have to offer us, the consumer / gamer.
Hyperbole and sensationalism = (not ...
I rather a game be delayed than rushed to market unpolished and full of bugs and glitches. So many games were already released this generation that the developer should've taken more time polishing before releasing them. I am way more discouraged with them trying to cash in on a calendar (hot season) vs giving us their best efforts release date / delays be damned.

Did I say TitanFall did or did not live up to the hype? No. I merely said it was the "most hyped" game (so far) this generation.
Hype has to do with over blown media coverage, expectations, how many units it will sell or consoles it will move and the marketing machine behind it. Watch Dogs wasn't even close to the level TF was / is in those areas.
BTW
you say Watch Dogs wasn't incredible to look at? No of...
"You cant use this as a reason:
"The game is selling boat loads and was rated great overall."
"I NEVER buy into hype or reviews."
And be taken seriously."
^This makes absolutely no sense at all and is extremely poor reasoning, or lack there of, on your part.
I personally don't give a toss about reviews or sales. Nor do I give a toss what you or anyone else thinks about my credibility....
You haven't even played it and you're voicing an opinion.
Watch Dogs wasn't the most overhyped game. Not even close and especially in this new generation. TitanFall was by far the most over hyped game this generation and one of the most overhyped games in years.
Articles like this just leave me saying, "REALLY?"
The game is selling boat loads and was rated great overall. It's not our problem the media overhypes everything now. The game plays great, has some pretty neat twist with all the hacking and devices to lure your enemies into vulnerable / more manageable situations. The stealth in the game is nicely down with the cover system and all the ways you can lure or dispose of your enemies using their surroundings agains...
I was underwhelmed.
Too many multiplats. We knew about most of the games pre E3. No Halo 5 footage, no Gears announcement, no Quantum Break gameplay footage, no Horizon gameplay footage, no blockbuster IP (whether 1st, 2nd or 3rd party) stolen or announced.
The only thing I enjoyed was Sunset Overdrive gameplay footage.
