"Gamer", will enjoy whatever platform is their favourite, be it Playstation, Xbox, wiiU, PC, tablet, mobile whatever. Who are you to dictate what a "gamer" is by what platform they game on or how many platforms they choose/can afford to purchase?

I am happy it's a linear 3rd person shooter. There are plenty of other open world games to enjoy, we don't want to go down the road of the FPS genre where every other game coming out is an open world game. GTA5, Watch Dogs, AC4, Witcher 3, etc etc... There is enough of them...

I love my turtle beaches but only ever use them for multiplayer really, when I need to chat. Its a wired headset though, green pin connector for game audio (came with an adapter to connect to component audio out on PS3, there isnt one on PS4) and usb for chat. How will this set up work? plug the usb connector in the console as normal for chat and maybe the game audio pin into the controller?

Oh right so I guess you must have gone through a few hundred batteries for your controllers, or did you buy microsofts own and play and charge kit? Oh and microsofts own wifi adapter so you can actually use the thing for what most Xbox players enjoy, online multiplayer. I loaned it from a friend, first one I had played since AC2, I think I was expecting too much. I beat the main story but it felt like a grind, nothing interesting happened and I didn't experience any "wow" moments like I did in other games I've played in the last 12 months.
AC4 does look good but I think as I am only buying a few games at launch and PS4 has plenty of F2P games I'm going to pick Watch Dogs over AC4. Might lend it off a friend again just ...
It's not the supply we should be asking about, it's the failure rate. Amazing how many people adamant on getting an Xbone over a PS4 forget about the RROD fiasco.
I owned a 360 (well 3 of them) from release day to the PS3 release day about 16 months later in the UK, so not a fanboy comment i have owned both consoles. I will get an Xbone eventually but not until I know how reliable they are and that there are games I can't go without playing available.

In a TV with 1080, they squeeze 360 more horizontal (and therefore 640 more vertical) lines in the same physical space.

I have a 60" Samsung ps60e6500 plasma tv and sit no more than 6ft away when gaming, now you know someone who does that.
I think resolution and FPS are very important for the TV I have and the gaming experience i expect from a next gen console. i have owned several 1080p capable tv's over the last 10 years, its about time developers started using their potential, it shouldnt even be a question anymore. i expect 1080p/60 on all games on PS4 within 18 months, max!
It looks very pretty and clean, almost too clean, it's all a bit too smooth and sterile. I'm sure it will look better in motion but forza is supposed to be about ultra realistic visuals, from what I've seen so far they need dirtying up a bit, the textures are practically nonexistent on the hoardings, signs and walls.
