We aren't just "thinking it", its a fact, as informed by the actual developer of the game. The developer wants their game to look the best it can on every platform, if they could run it at 1080p on Xbone they would have done so. Same goes for BF4, Ryse and others!
You would be a fool to believe that 720p or 30fps is a design choice, its because of limitations...
Current PS3 owners are going to buy a PS4, if and when they upgrade. A significant percentage of 360 owners are going to buy a PS4, if and when they upgrade. A percentage of 360 owners are going to buy an Xbone, if and when they upgrade. That percentage of 360 owners moving to Playstation next gen are what is going to make the difference in sales, because nobody already in the Sony camp are going to convert to a more expensive, less powerful and most importantly, unfamiliar and unliked piece ...
Pretty sure it's already sold out. Doesn't mean much in the longevity or total sales over the course of the generation. Just look all over the Internet and you will see PS4 is twice as popular with gamers than the Xbox One.
In fact just look at agrees and disagrees on pro PS4 comments and pro Xbone comments. They are always heavily on favour of the PS4. Where are all of these new gamers going to come from to support the Xbone to catch up and exceed the PS4 supporters?...
What upgrade? If you play COD (xbox is the most popular platform for it) you are still getting 720p/60fps on Xbox One. There is no upgrade!
BF4 is 900p on PS4, just like Ryse is 900p on Xbox One. The difference? 60fps vs 30fps. Oh and huge maps with 64 players online matches.
BF4 is 720p on Xbox One, COD is 720p on Xbox One. Both games are also 720p on Xbox 360 and PS3. COD is even running 720p/60fps on current gen. You need to ask why can't Xbox One achieve any better resolution and frame rate over the current, 8 year old consoles? Very strange!
Maybe they predicted this sort of thing based on the system they made and this is why they didn't call it the Xbox 720...

I'm sure xbone is doing just fine, just not as fine as PS4, clearly.
I'm waiting for the next gen version, played the beta and it was ok but I'm done with current gen now, I'm ready for something to blow me away. After watching all these BF4 videos on PC, PS4 and Xbone I find it really hard to put up with current gen games struggling to maintain 25fps at 720p with blurry textures.

Black ops 2 campaign was fun, but still only took less than 5 hours to finish, the BF3 campaign was about the same length, it was playable enough but a bit dull. Single player campaigns are just a bit of enjoyment and shooting practice before you get into the core of the game, multiplayer!
I'm still undecided if I want killzone or battlefield though, argh I know I'm going to get both eventually. COD can suck it.

Your lucky in the US, the PS4 is $399, which at exchange rate is about £250, but we have to pay £349! Still £80 cheaper than a console I have no interest in purchasing though...
I'm in the UK and everyone I know, including all the Xbox 360 owners (I have both), are buying a PS4. I work in the public sector and know a lot of people and I genuinely only know 2 people buying an Xbox One, my hairdresser and a guy at work who uses his 360 to watch SKY TV and Netflix (he literally plays no games).
The 1 in the 2:1 ratio here is taken up by fanboys and uninformed casual gamers who couldn't care less about specs and have no knowledge of any of MS ol...

Video output will be 1080p, it's already been confirmed. The rendering can be done at 720p or 900p and will then be up scaled to 1080p. This does not mean the resolution is natively 1080p but it does mean that the information on the store is correct.
1080p video output does not mean 1080p native resolution.
I'm not jealous, I've got a 60" Samsung 3D plasma! Haha. Plasma all the way for next gen, screw LCD/LED, overpriced, washed out black levels and colours, and terrible motion handling trying to be compensated for with even worse motion processing "tech"! The only advantage of LCD over plasma is the thinner frames, not worth it!

PS3 and 360 are 720p too, same as Xbox One... Add that to your mindfuck lol
