Cerebral, graphical quality does matter, especially for next gen systems, otherwise if its all about the gameplay then people may as well buy the current gen version. 360 will have the same story, same MP maps, same gameplay, same FPS, even the same resolution.
One of the main reasons people want next gen versions of games is the leap in visual quality, and the PS4 has the better looking games (so far). The only gamers who don't think graphics are important the Xbox fans...
Know doubt it will impress PC gamers, though good luck trying to get them to admit it...it will just be a sea of "it would look better on PC" or "my PC could run that game in 4k at a million frames per second"

It's not obvious it's on current gen. Could easily be on Xbone! 720p is 720p, whichever way you look at it.

In the UK you can get a PS4, extra controller, PS Camera, and Killzone Shadowfall for £424.99, that's £5 cheaper than an Xbox One on its own.
It's like the sharpness and the contrast have been pumped to the max on the X1 images. This could easily be the TV settings. No professional or videophile would ever calibrate their sets to look like that. You want sharpness down to almost zero to avoide sharp, jagged edges and the contrast and brightness correctly adjusted to show as much detail in the shadows as possible while retaining deep inky black levels.
The PS4 settings seem to be far more natural and much more ...

Also "exclusives never survive on PS"! Really? Gran Turismo, Uncharted, infamous, ratchet and clank, god of war, motorstorm, metal gear solid... I could go on... These are all high quality, long lasting playstation exclusives, and that's just for this gen, never mind ps1 and 2....

It really really annoys me when people say they can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p, or 30fps and 60fps. What the fuck are you looking at? This type of comment has been made over and over again since way before next gen consoles were announced. It truly baffles, bemuses and vexes me to hear "30fps and 60fps games look the same to me" it either that they can't see, or don't want to see the difference. If its the former then they need their eyes checked... Men...
