Sony could use the money that they have been hemorraging on PS3 and acceptance by MS would ensure viability in computer hardware (the real reason many folks are sitting on the sidelines.....I can burn a DVD, a BR or HD-DVD is not so easy or cheap at present).

They should be making 120 FPS games to match my 120Hz 1080P!! Anything less than that should be criminal.

it won't matter. I just got Tiger Woods golf. Amazing!!! Simply Amazing!! I love the fact that Ninty's is pushing the envelope. Hopefully, this will continue for us PSiii60 owners. :-)

the hater-ade. Ninty is well on its way to winning the console battle by being more innovative and less technologically superior. By starting out the price at $250, Ninty has all but wrapped up the casual gamer. They are very near that magical pricepoint where folks will make an impulse buy. With games like, Tiger Woods coming out, don't underestimate the little guy. They have racked up roughly half X-box's sales in less than half the time and doubled Sony's in the sametime. Ninty is fo...

Component price will only go down if the players are the exact same spec. If Sony is just putting out cheaper, lower quality units...PS3 prices will still be $599. I fully expect that we won't see a price decrease until earliest after Christmas of next year.

and specious at best. Earlier you stated:

"It does? Prove it!
Lots of power when compared to last gen consoles or in within the limitation of the console but not compared to other consoles. If so wake me up when graphics on it look as good as gear of war or resistance."

That's like putting a Honda V6 accord on a race track and saying...well, it can't keep up with the other Nascar stock vehicles. Of course, it can't. So, if you're making a com...

First off, I own the Xb1, PS1, PS2, PS3, 360 and Wii....plus a 2600 and Intellivision somewhere in my parents storage closet back at home in East Texas.

#1- Are you playing the game or the graphics or the computer processing power? Certainly, there is a relationship between the amount of power in a system and its ultimate potential, but the Wii's potential has not yet been fully tapped. Give it some time and then come back. This is just as bad as those saying PS3 games don't...

Wii's processors are capable of that type of game. Have you seen Tiger Woods golf on Wii? It is phenom. Certainly, no one would argue that the Wii does not have more processing power than the PS2 or XB1. Let the little guy do his thing and continue to get the majority of the 100 million casual gamers to come play at the table. :-)

You're spot on. I appreciate the rational discourse and not the rampant fanboiism that seems to drive so many discussions. :-)

They are going after the U.S. market first...then other markets...Sony for MS has never really been in Play. And that's not spin, it's just that for all intensive purposes....while American consumers accept Japanese goods...Japanese consumers usually stick to homegrown and that is in everything from Sonys and Nintys to cars. That's why GM and Ford hate Toyota. The consumer dollars as allocated by the consumers currently support Japan's exports more than US sales. :-) That is undisputed an...

But I think the popular success and easy money that the Wii is making could create more of these types of games and interfaces in the future. Afterall, I don't believe for a second that MS or Sony wouldn't throw the hardcore gamer under the bus if they thought they could reach the casual gamer as easily and cheaply as Ninty did. I mean even many a hardcore gamer have purchased the Wii....it's only 250...you can put that on your debit card and never know the money was gone from your bank acc...

otherwise, how were they ever going to have a realistic racing or shooter...you could be bumped or shot from behind and would never know it. As far as advancement in rumble, the proof is in the pudding. And I wouldn't hold my breath for a new controller for rumble by Christmas...they will need a firmware update probably and software will have to be encoded with the vibration feature...and if it's new and the developers need to work at it, I don't think the first iterations will be great. L...

There are new games which are AAA for the Wii, and they're coming at the same rate as those for PS3. The Wii will continue to outsell PS 3 for its entire lifecycle....why? It is fun to play, relatively cheap, and built for the masses. 360 and PS3 are built for the gamer!! I have all three, and folks always ask about the Wii....why? Because they don't have hours and hours to learn sophisticated controls, they are into getting a quick fix and then moving on. With new titles, Wii will cont...

Sony should have paid Immersion and put rumble into their games as an option. Without it, racing and flying games require too much visual stimulation to maintain a feel of what is taking place. To a limited degree, shooters benefit as well because you can feel a shot in the back that might never see. And if folks didn't want rumble, they could put that toggle swith on it just like before and those folks could turn it off....until they started getting beat by those of who had it turned on. ...

when are the developers really going to get busy. GRAW2 on 360 looks like a letdown and Motorstorm for my PS3 looks like a letdown as well. We really need to raise the bar. NextGen should be much, much better....I want full Dolby Loss-less True HD Sound and Deep Color Immersion with multi-graded gray scaling to take advantage of my new 120hz 1080P 60" inch. I believe this is just sucker candy. MS and Sony can do better...much better.

If GRAW2 is X360s best and GOW is PS3's best, I am very disappointed. I will play them, but I eagerly await X1080 and PS4 with Deep Color graphics in 120Hz 1080P for my 60" inch LCD and True Dolby Loss-less 7.1 channel surround sound with discrete multi-tracks....and I hope the Blu-Ray games hold 150 Gb of data, because anything less will be a real disappointment. As I have a fiber backbone into my home, I would also like faster interactivity and full speed DVD- video camera support in...
