You need to have dedicated servers to play games with 32 players. XBL is only peer to peer and IW doesn't have enough weight to setup its own dedicated servers on PSN.
Perhaps if CoD 4 is a cross platform game similar to UT 3 then it might be possible for PS3 players to play on the same dedicated server is PC players.

Everquest, the most important MMO of all time is not there. Yet for some reason World of Warcraft, a game built upon the shoulders of Everquest is listed. Hell, most of the terminology that the Warcraft fans uses like buffs, tanks, DPS, and even obscure stuff like "loot ninja" are from Everquest.

Call of Duty 2 on the PC can do 64 players. I play on a 64 players server all the time and PC games have been doing 64 players games since Quake 2, Tribes, Counterstrike, BF2. You name it.
Since Xbox Live doesn't support dedicated servers the console version can only do 16 players. Maybe the PS3 version can do 32 players with dedicated servers.
This reason and mods is why I will be buying CoD 4 for my PC, the console version is just too inferior.
Of all the things I want from my PS3, Home is about the last thing on my list and I'm sure other savy gamers would agree. Next gen gaming machines should not have to change disc at all. Hell I shouldn't even have to insert a disc to play any games. Its about time we install the entire game on to the hard drive like the PC Games. That way they'll load faster and cache data better.

I actually agree with this Xbot. The rumble is pointless and unimpressive. Having my pad "rumble" doesn't add anything to the game's context. What we need is a control that doesn't use those crappy analog sticks for FPS games and some real force feedback.

I always thought the Pirates series sucks, but then again the sale numbers proved that I'm wrong. So despite being crappy movies Spidey and Pirates will sell by the truck loads. I bought my PS3 to get into hidef movies first and to play games second, that was four months ago and even now it's still an excellent value. The PS3 can upconvert like a mofo too and it is without a doubt the FASTEST HD player on the market. By the time my Toshiba HDDVD player wake up I'm already looking at the tittle screen with my PS3.
More time for me to upgrade my comp...when is that G90 coming?
