Game development = education wasted.

Its an established fact that the gaming industry is probably the worst tech field to work in. The hours are long, the pressure is intense, the job security is virtually zero and to top it off the pay totally sucks.

I wouldn't even recommend this field to people I hate nevermind, my own daughter or sister.

This engine is seriously outdated, when a mid range PC card can push UT3 at 1080p with all the options pass 70 FPS you know the life cycle of this tech almost at an end.

But that doesn't mean you can't make a good game out of it. Valve build Half Life from the orignal Quake engine, and the first Call of Duty derived from the Quake 3 engine.

Vista wouldn't be a problem if DX 10 actually delivered. It did not. Hence the low of conversion rate among the hardcore crowd.

Oh come'on. We all saw this coming from a mile away considering the vast unpopularity of Vista in the business and computing world in general. Do you really think MS is really going to drop support for the number one cooperate OS in the world? More importantly, how much crack do you have smoke to actually believe in such a thing?

There is nothing impressive about this. Unless you're a total noob to PC gaming or a console fanboy who have no idea what mods and user created content can do.

This is just amature stuff. There are plenty of other cool mods out there so I'm not sure how this got approved.

Check out Urban Terror, its a complete FREE Quake 3 mod that doesn't even require Quake 3 to play. Last time I checked there's a ton of peeps playing this game on multiple 60 players servers. ...

I hope Valve understand the difference between a PC game and a console game and slow down the game speed for 360. As it stand the zombies are designed to rush and stress the skills of PC users, which is fine if you're aiming with a mouse. But the game speed is just too fast for the console gamer. We're talking about zombies that jump and run at UT 3's speed here, and they come enmass, frequently in tight dark spaces requiring the players to pull of multiple headshots to stop them.

Halo 3 is late too the party. The entire human race was wiped out by Counterstrike four years ago. If its possible to see how many times people died in Quake I'm sure that number will beat Counterstrike too.

There is no point in going further than 8x AF. I would rather play the game in 1080p 4XAA 4X AF.

As long as they don't over reach and to bite more than they can chew. That is the only real danger. As far as their core business goes they're pretty much locked in for the next five to ten years. Linux isn't doing anything and despite all the money they've spent on adds Apple isn't againing an inch.

So until Google invent that virtual OS, MS will be king of the PC world.

Just by watching these vids its obvious to see which platform this game is made for. Its the PC. The action is frantic and the zombies will be rushing you in huge numbers. When headshots count, I would rather use a mouse for quick and precise aiming than a clumsy pad.

As an added bonus this game will look easily twice as good and run over 60 FPS at full 1080p with all the goodies turned on. There are some games you buy for the Xbox and there are some games you buy for PC. This ...

At least know WTF you're talking about please. CoD 2 is not garbage, it is a game that influenced CoD 3 and is still influencing CoD 5. I'm willing to bet that CoD 5 will play a lot more like CoD 2 than CoD 3.

Lets look at it this way, if your Xbox 360 is a computer it'll be worth less than $100. The problem with this gen of consoles is how rapidly they're being over taken by PC tech in both performance and price. When the 9800 GTX, a card that can run Gears of War at full 1080p for over 80 FPS drop to $200, the percieved value of console gaming is no longer valid.

The PS3 and 360 are grossly obsolete when you consider the fact that in July a 9800 GTX+ will cost only $299 and can easily push CoD 4 and Gears of War at 1080p native, full scene 4X AA for over 80 FPS. That lady and gents is actually a mid range card! High end PC GPUs can double those numbers.

A PC with 1 GB RAM is unacceptable in this day and age, nevermind a gaming PC. Its not like 2 GB or RAM is expensive or anything, even 4 GB can be considered as cheap.
