There's no way DX 11 is coming for XP. That will be a fiasco for Vista, which desperately need a shot in the arm to be viable gaming OS after the DX 10 bomb. Nope, if MS is smart, and they're usually are, DX 11 is coming to Vista to keep it afloat till Windows 7.
If this new DX pans out it could do to Vista what DX7 did to ME. In other words, make it something gamers actually want to have.
This game looks GREAT on the PC. Even at 1080p and crazy AA I can easily break over 60 FPS at all times, with the 360 pad's hooked up I feel like I'm playing a console game...only with three times higher res and incredible texture quality.
I can't believe it, either the consoles are weak as hell or Capcom just made one hell of a port. Which is odd because Lost Planet isn't nearly as smooth as this. Try the demo guys.
I'm getting over 70 FPS in 1080p with 4X AA with the demo. It looks way better than the PS3 version and smoother too. I didn't think this game would scale so well on the PC but its smooth as hell.
Thats really big news considering the fact Nvidia isn't even supporting shader 4.1 yet. But considering how much DX 10 sucks and require Vista, I doubt DX 11 will excite unless the performance is up to par.
Oh, with tessellation and displacement DX11 is basically featuring a much hyped feature of the PS3, 4D LOL!

The real news is which console version looks better.
KZ2 rendering seems to be very similar to MGS4. In MGS4 the highest resolution object would be Snake, in KZ 2 its obviously your gun. Its a great visual trick and a smart way to make the most outta 512 RAM of memory. Since you spend a huge amount of time shooting things through your gun the game looks great and you don't notice the average textures resolution of the other objects.

Oh come'on, most of Fallout's lines were blahing NPCs who say things like "I love Jet!" The real quality dialogues were actually quite rare. Oblivion had a bunch of spoken dialogues but most them were quite boring and devoid of character.
As for Planetscape, forget about it. In this multiplat world you'll never see a game like that anymore. Everything is so dumbed down and this generation of gamers would not tolerate a wall of text with the "passive" gamepl...

Ugh, that looks like crap. The PC version totally owns Gears 2 so bad its sad.

Will be a huge mess. Good luck trying to balance a game where Asian gamers willl raid your castles at 3 AM, then when the US gamers wakeup they'll raid the Asian gamers castles. Thats the way it works in DAoC and it'll be the same in WAR.
If L4D is a HL2 engine game, it isn't a ripoff of anything. Thats like calling Gears of War a ripoff of UT3 because they use the same engine.
Only an idiot would a pledge to buy another Crytek game. Their support totally blows. If Warhead is good then I'll buy it but they don't deserve my support unless proven otherwise. Its not like we're talking about an AAA developer with proven track record who need our support or anything. These guys make benchmark games, no more, no less.

This gen quad, hell, even duo cores are already crushing the Cell. The real advantage of the Cell comes into play when you need a CPU thats cheap, have low heat requirements, and do lots of parallel processing. For general computing the Cell blows.
