The problem isn't that the Japanese games isn't Western enough, it's the fact that they suck and haven't been able to come up with new games that appeal to western audiences like they used to in the pass.
Maybe it's because all the Japanese games now a days are sporting spikey haired over dramatic, emo biatches, instead of cool characters like Solid Snake and the characters in Resident Evil. Characters and games that the people world wide can identify with...
This article is virtually spot on except for Quake 4 and Resistance 2. Those games were never good enough to be over-rated. However it doesn't seem to have the balls to call out another over-rated game, MGS4.

Because if the playing FPS with the Move is this good then I want to "jump in it".
The floating reticule is dumb. I don't see why they don't just mimic mouse inputs which would be second nature to EVERYONE.

Is there any reason why this game is taking epic long to release? They're making a game about cars running around a track for crying loud. Its not like there's free roam and you can drive a BMW around all of New York or something. Yeah the physics are realistic and there are plenty of cars to model, but damn, in the end it's just a bunch of cars flying around a static track. Just get it right and get it out. I'm tired of waiting for this.
Civ 5 is really dumbed down. No religion, can't change your goverment and policies, no captiulation, no real diplomancy, and no corporations.
It's an empty shell of a game that was Civ 4 in every way except for the combat.
Seeing how nobody bought BF Vietnam I think BC2 Vietnam could share the same fate since this expansion looks like a glorified mod nothing more.

They have a lot of mobile games on their iphones but most of those games are crap. Nobody game with their iphone. Just like how house wives playing Farm Ville are not "gamers" iphone users playing games on their iphone are not gamers either.

Trust me on this the iphone 4 is still the best with the Droid X being a very close second. The Evo's battery life or rather the lack off will leave you with a dead phone before the day is done and the Galaxy's software totally blows.
I'm agreeing here. The first Call of Duty was an awesome ground breaking WW2 shooter. It took what was achieved in MoH and injected it with pure Hollywood awesomeness while maintaining authenticity. Guns in Call of Duty used to have beefy recoil and feel, unlike the plastic peep shooters feel of today's mass marketed CoD.
