Here we go again. Some guy with a shit website that nobody gives a damn about doing an article on PC gaming, a subject he knows nothing about.
This is funny because for the most part it's always some console guy or some Mac dude spewing their ignorant opinion. You almost never hear it from the other side, a hardcore PC gamer doing a review on console gaming. This is probably because most PC gamers already own a console, and possess the common sense to NOT give his 2 cents...
Playing Stalker on a gamepad without assist would suck hard. But something tells me that this game will be completely different than the PC Stalker. The interface gotta change for one and I can see the mechanics being tweaked too.
It's open world in a sense that npcs have routines, go on patrols and fight with other factions. Most NPCs in this game isn't standing around waiting for you come and shoot them like CoD. They're actually doing something in the game world.
Killzone 3 > Crysis 2.
Crysis 2 is starting to look generic to me. Yeah the visuals and textures will be unmatched on the PC but the art design is rather meh. The robo aliens are just as boring looking as the first game and Warhead, adding legs didn't help much. Crytek really need to stop focusing on the setting and spend more time designing a good shooter instead.
This law suit is stupid. Suing EA for the NFL exclusivity is like suing Lucas Arts because Force Unleashed games suck. Plus there's too much blame on EA and not enough on the NFL. They're just as greedy if not more so and they'll continue to grant EA the rights as long as Madden continues to make zillions.
Looks like the PS3 have won the fanboy war.
The Tower Knight made me quit the game. I spent hours playing and tip toeing through the level and kicking ass then I ran into my first boss, this giant fucking knight that kicked my ass and took all my souls.
The game went back into the Gamefly envelop quickly after that.
You gotta be crazy to buy to all of those games. I'm going to rent at least half of those from Gamefly. The rest are multiplats that I will buy on Steam for $10-15 at the end of the year, or wait till the following year and buy them for $5. Killzone 3 and Uncharted 3 are must buys for the PS3.
Done.
I guess Square is determined to run the once storied Final Fantasy franchise into the gutter. When I played FF13 I was blown away by how much it sucks, it was like, they spent years and years on THIS? I mean, how hard is it to make an emo corridor simulator anyway? Did they spend all those years designing the most annoying and whinny cast of biatches ever conceived in a video game so they didn't have time to implement a real RPG?
This game looks like Grand Theft Heavy Rain. Should be interesting.
I'm going to rent at least half of those games from Gamefly. Some are multiplat which I will wait for one of those awesome Steam sale then buy them for $10. The remaining games will be a handful of exclusives like Killzone 3 and Uncharted 3 that are actually worth paying $60 for, and so far only three games fall into that category.
Thats how it's done. Being a multiplat gamer just isn't about options, it's about saving a ton of $$.
Other than FF Versus, I have never heard of a single game on that list. Are they stocked with emo teens trying to save the world too or are they actual RPGs that I can relate too?
Just when I thought I was out. They pull me back in. I just gifted Bad Company 2 to my brother and bought Fear 2+DLC for $6 and Tomb Raider Guardian of Light for $5. Ridiculous prices. So unfair.
But...but...what about teh power of Cell textures? LOL. Seriously the PS3 version is the Ultimate while the Steam sale version is plain Jane. It doesn't justify the full retail price though.
Who are these idiots who disagree? Bad Company for $5 is crazy insane out of your mind good. Maybe the console fanboys are jealous that PC gamers are paying sub DLCs prices while they have to pay full retail?
There's nothing wrong with big boobs. The haters should STFU and play something else. These are the kind of peeps who played Age of Conan and bitch constantly about nudity and big boobs in that game too until they released the boobs nerfing patch. Now that game is a ghost town.
It took a long time but id is back. This game looks like Borderland meets Stalker meets Fallout. It should rock our world.
You can play the browser version of Quake 3 for free.
I hate Steam. Their sales are so damn cheap that I constantly fill my HD up with games that I will never have time to play. They're basically selling retail games at DLCs prices like these:
Batman Game of the Year Edition for $7.50.
Splinter Cell: Conviction $15.
Flatout: Ultimate (PC's Motorstorm) $2
Red Faction: Guerilla $2.45
WTF!? Seriously, somebody alert the authorities because this can't be legal.
Learn from my mistakes? You mean dying a bunch of times and doing the entire level over and over and over until you figure out the boss attack patterns? The Tower Knight was my first big boss and damn was he hard. Actually, not because he is hard mind you, the difficulty lies in the fact that by the time I learned where to hide and how dodge to his attacks (stay behind him moving back in a circle constantly to attack his heels), I'm already bored of running through the same map for the si...
