I would not be buying stupid consoles, I would be buying a High end PC and a video card with an HDMI output, and then install a bluray and hddvd drive into it to get the best movie experience I can get.
it's that you misunderstood WHY they were making fun of the ps3.
They were making fun of the ps3 cause it was a media center with no games. Now 360 owners are happy cause they have a great games machine AND a great media center.

I don't know what backwards town you get your internet from. but my internet is a 8Mb/sec internet, and I ususally download movies @ minimum 100k/s from torrents and such. I usually average around 300-400k or so.
and HD movies are 4-6 gigs SD movies are usually less than 1 gig, not 50gig, and The movies typically take a few hours to DL.
as for PC's, well mine is almost 2yrs old, and has 180...

I agree it would be a win for sony, there is no doubt about that.
but it's doesn't hurt MS. they don't make PC's. and all those PC's with bluray will still be running windows. that's won't change if bluray wins.

at least in NA, high speed internet is the norm here, and 500 gig and 8terabyte drives are pretty cheap.
but you don't even need that much space unless you want to keep a copy of every movie.
I watch them once and they're gone, so my 160 gig drive works fine. and now that my 360 streams divx/xvid, I'm a very happy camper as media center doesn't seem to handle HD very well.
and japan is much further ahead than NA.

don't get me wron, it's a great game. I don't think quite has the AAA status like halo, mario, GTA, MGS, etc...
AAA status has to = sales, hype, midnight launches etc...not just a great review. uncharted is really only expected to sell around 1 million units. which is not even on the radar on the amount of sales those other games have.
uncharted got great reviews, but just like mass effect, I don't consider them to be AAA until they get the sales to prove it, and...
