This is just an Android 'mini PC' with a restricted market.
It won't have any new games that isn't on the Android Market/Google Play.
Spot on.
Azure is the connectivity they need. They have that ball.
Not so sure on the graphical fire-power compared to Gaikai, but more easily resolved compared to not having the connectivity in place.
I can't believe this article is the top story on this site.
Are you people that dumb?
The LinkedIn profile is referencing the Next Generation Playstation aka NGP aka Vita.
It is not the PS4.
Ha. Incorrect. It is on about the Vita. NGP = Next Generation Playstation.
It doesn't mean PS4 - which you can bet started life before 2010.
No, the label says 'battery', so presumably a low battery indicator as the controller number lights as not placed where you would spot it.
I can't wait to pay for a Wii U console and then pay loads extra on top for an actual proper controller like this.
Wrong article, ass wipe. This isn't claiming to be backwards compatibility, this is claiming to be an 'all-you-can-eat' streaming service.
Frankly, when I read about the possibility of Gaikai becoming integrated into PS+ somehow it led me to the same conclusion.
Either included in a PS+ subscription tier will be an unlimited service with a set selection of games, and let us not be foolish here - it won't be _every_ game, or alternatively inclu...
Re-read what you said. The _future_ of gaming, but you're saying your _present_ internet is not up to the task.
Your internet will be better in the future when this all takes off.
It will be a complimentary service alongside discs for a long time to come. Kaz has already acknowledged that some territories' internet isn't good enough to any console to become disc-less.
this is what I was thinking. I wonder if they could use a system similar to Online Pass, so if you have that pass you'll be granted access to stream-game it.
This also will work wonders for the PS4 if they ditch Cell and need to keep those that want to play PS3 games on it sweet.
I'm pretty sure that they said during MW3's promo that it is a trilogy and there won't be a fourth.
My PC has 16Gb ram - but it doesn't have 10Gb GDDR - that is the nonsense figure.
10Gb graphics, excellent.
This is a fake.
Notice it claims to be from SCEE. If that is the case, the blurb at the top would have 'epitomise' not 'epitomize' which is the American English spelling.
You will still be able to buy retail disc versions just like you still have the choice to go buy a CD or get it off iTunes.
That is why there will be both. Cloud for those that can, hard copies for those that can't.
Sony themselves recently said that the state of the internet (ie. people's connections) mean it just isn't possible to do solely cloud gaming yet.
They said retail discs will exist for a long time yet.
Hardly any advertisement? I dunno where you live but its been advertised to death in this country.
Sarcastic.
Why would you say PS6? The PS has iterated through its versions, the Xbox hasn't.
So people are doubling it because they next 'full circle' is an additional 360 degrees, ie, 360x2=720.
It isn't going to be called Xbox 361.
In addition the Activision contract calls it the 720.
I'd bet on it being called Xbox [something] with something being a word, myself.
No, it ends this year. It was 2009 that it began (confirmed at E3 2010 though). It ends this year.

I think due to Elite they'll ditch the deal, even if MS offers them the mega-bucks, DLC has become a major brain-f word because not only is it now split between the two consoles on different dates, but it is split twice on the consoles ...
@AngelicIceDiamond
Would you say the same for God of War?
That is a pretty big blockbuster game up there with the likes of the games you mention, and guess what - not only did it come out on the PS2 after the PS3 was announced it was actually released after the PS3 was released.
