I have to agree with this.
The graphics in LBP are terrible compared to Modnation, everything is blurry.
Whilst there will be more varied styles of circuits I much prefer Modnation's general style.
The controls felt similar to me, but I'd say Modnation edges it.

It doesn't make the guns the same, it makes the advantages of some guns less beneficial.
This is because the time-to-kill is reduced meaning less reaction time from the other player and kind of negates the benefit of a high rate of fire gun.

Add to that the fact that you should ideally shoot before ADS'ing to get a bullet in prior to aiming properly, and then lag compensation you soon eat up your bullets.

You are right, but there is only so far you can take it.
For example, I could not finely tune my car to become a car capable of Godly speeds.
Ultimately, it comes down to cost. You could spend years making some really efficient stuff that allows you to do more on screen, but the cost of spending that time needs to be covered.
