Yea, but I still stand by my point, especially if it's still a purely motion controlled based system. I haven't looked into the hardware specs or anything yet (if they're even available,) though.
I really can't see this system rushing the other companies to put out a new one. The Wii was so far behind in terms of hardware that this doesn't really justify Sony or Microsoft pushing out a new system any time sooner.
I'm excited to play the beta, but watching someone else play it while I sit at my computer doesn't sound too fun.

I totally agree, and anytime I say this people go "OH WELL ITS SOCOM 4 NOT SOCOM 2 HURRDURRRRR." They don't realize how this game is NOTHING like the old SOCOMs.

I suppose that's right to an extent, but by bringing all the characters back I figured that it was implied that they would still focus on making the gameplay balanced, even if it meant a longer development time.
Yea, I prefer trophies over achievements as well. My gamerscore isn't anything special because I only got my 360 a year ago, but I like how trophies have different ranks to them instead of just a higher number attached to it.

Well one cool thing you could do with linux on your PS3 that isn't related to piracy is install Linux, and then get the VLC player plugin for Linux which allows the PS3 to play video files of just about any type. This problem can be eliminated by using PS3 Media Server (far superior to TVersity.) but for people who don't have internet, that doesn't help. But I get what you're saying.
