what a world we live in when sells numbers are more important to consumers than they are to shareholders... You're gamers... play games and stop counting consoles sold.
Honestly, if the developers make a big deal about the resolution from the beginning, so will the fanboys/consumers. Just come out with it, and get on with business. Truly 1080p/900p just isn't that big of a deal to lose your heads over. And let's just face it, if you own a console- the only reason you're losing your mind over that sort of differentiation in resolution is simply because you just want something, anything, to have over your 'pretend' rival's console.
fun thing about reviews- if you don't like this review score, you can always latch onto one that fits your liking
lol, not according to the reviews.
boom goes the dynamite.
So... when do the over-privileged/ self-entitled 'gamers' come in to show disgust over this?
Hatred's purpose is to cross the line, putting the gaming industry in jeopardy of being censored by governments. GTA rides that line and does it well, they've done some pretty controversial things and the gaming industry has taken some flak for it, but they've learned to dance in the grey. GTA's games have a storyline that puts players up against criminals with guns for the most part, what they do along the way is their choice. This game's sole purpose is to kill unarme...
why does any of this matter to gamers? All that should matter to us is that the gaming industry is doing pretty good. Other than that- gamers should just be... you know... gaming.
you're missing the point- GTA's purpose isn't about driving into a crowd of people at high speed, that's just something that some gamers choose to do on their own. Hatred's entire purpose is to kill a crowd of unarmed people... Now, if we lived in a world where this could be overlooked and dissociated with real world mass murders, then fine- no big deal... But politicians (people who can f*ck w/ the gaming industry) along with their voters are constantly looking for somet...
This game does nothing for the gaming industry... The last thing the industry needs is a game that draws spotlight on killing and mass murder. Just more ammo for politicians to use to censor gaming at an unrealistic level. GTA has a storyline that isn't centralized around mass murder of unarmed people.
games like this are the reasons Australia has such an unrealistic banning on video games... The gaming industry takes damage by games like this. And this is a farcry of a difference from what GTA is- Today's GTA has a core story/plot that is about more than just killing bystanders and unarmed people... Sure, gamers do that while they're playing the game, but the game's soul purpose isn't to emulate mass murder.
Here's the thing I hate about this game- Governments and politics have constantly sought ways to blame video games for the horrific things that happen in this world. This pile of sh*t game, this is the fuse they've been looking for. No, games like this shouldn't exist simply because they put an obvious spotlight on violence in video games. People can bring up GTA all day long, but the plot of the game isn't about killing random people, that's just sh*t people do while p...
Honest to God, the fanboys don't TRULY care about the resolution of a game, the only thing that relatively matters is the fact that one can do something better than the other. And before I get the disagrees (which I will) think real hard about the comments in this section and then look back at EVERYTHING people have had issues with:
- The size difference between the consoles
- Power block/no power block
- The number of controllers that can connect w/ the ...
I wonder if submitters of articles like these get goose bumps when they find articles like this.
I wonder if people have their fanboy goggles on for this one.. One way to know is, when you're looking at the comparison, does it look like it's a modified gaming PC rig vs a 1988 NES? If that's what you're seeing when you look at the video, then your fanboy goggles are on. PS4 looks slightly (and I wish I could put enough emphasis on the word 'slightly') better. I feel as though the fogginess could be corrected a bit by adjusting your contrast.
Not surprising if it's true... PS4 outsells X1 and this game is the only thing new coming out that's exclusive TO the console. Shame it had such a rough start.
Instead of saying, "If true then congrats!" we have 3 pages worth of internet dribble...
If this IS true, then congrats Xbox One and keep on keeping on.
I'm saying the difference should be moot.
My God... People are amazing. These are video GAMES. When did we lose sight of the 'game' part of video games and focus more on resolution? Gameplay should always be king and Unity is promising in that factor in that (most important) category. The difference between 900p and 1080p should not be treated as though it were greater than the gameplay and its content.
I'm gonna go the other route on commenting... Instead of listing off some reasons (fact or opinion) as to why one console is better than the other, I'm just gonna say- "It's a great time to be a gamer." Because it is. If the console of your choice is at an amazingly cheap price and well within your price range- Then awesome news for cost conscious consumers.
