A fan of games - not consoles.

I hope you all enjoy the game I played and finished 12 months ago. This is the same game that many of you claimed "sucked". What phonies. You pan a game because it is on a rival console and then when you finally get it, it is now okay to buy it because it is the "definitive version". That is just sad.

I don't know a single person that has abandoned his 360 for a PS3. Don't confuse MS's Kinect push at getting another group of gamers as a revolt. We know that Call of Duty and Fallout Vegas sold more on the 360. Are you suggesting that causal gamers bought these titles? Seriously?

I think we need to consider how we define success. Many people speculated that the Wii would be a toy. Years later, it has left the 360 and PS3 in the dust. What is makes a console more successful - a console that is more powerful or one that sells more units?

With the new products, Move looks pretty cool. I have always hated how inaccurate the Wiimote is. I love the idea of having a super accurate controller with the power of the PS3. That said, I believe that Kinect w...

I can think of 4 million reasons why Halo Reach did not "fail". I know opinions can't technically be wrong, but I believe that anyone who opines that a game fails when it earned $200 million in one day, sold 4 million copies in 1 week, and has an average score above 90%, is an idiot.

Today, MS announced that it had one of its best quarters in its history - over $16 billion in revenue. Now, that is not only the Xbox. The biggest portion of that revenue reportedly came from Windows 7. This article made me laugh because I remember people claiming that Windows as an OS was about to die too. Funny...they are selling a Window 7 license every 7 seconds since launch. In terms of the games division, CNET reported today that MS's gaming division increased by $251 million i...

Some people just don't get the way some companies work. Did you ever go down a highway and notice that there is a Lowes right next to a Home Depot? Or you see two supermarkets in an area that only needs one? Sometimes a company enters an area to have a presence in that particular place. I believe that MS got into the console business for two reasons. First, I think they want to make a profit...something that recently they have done. The second reason they wanted into the console market ...

I am not getting this game, but when did a game with less disc swapping and 720p vs 1080p make it a lesser game? The thing that should matter is the actual gameplay and mechanics - not the amount of pixels pumped out during cutscenes. I don't recall the date or site, but I recall square brass claiming that both games will look the same during game play. Maybe the ps3 game will be better, but you are really stretching if that is based on 1 vs 3 discs or cutscenes.

I am a sucker. I check this site every day, but I can't stand articles like this one. The author is obviously a Sony hack. In saying that, I admit that Sony has some awesome games. I own a 360, but the Uncharted games look awesome and Killzone looked amazing as well. That said, this guy doesn't know a thing. No one does. I am sure that someone in all of the big three are designing the next gen, but the PS3 is only three years old and there is no way that Sony has locked in on the specs...

I like N4G a lot, but why does this guy's web show get so much play? This guy is a joke. I know that some of this site is reserved for commentary, not just news, but this guy is so mis-informed and so biased towards sony, that his opinion simply doesn't matter.

Disclaimer - I have to admit that I didn't watch this particular podcast. I only read the headline. I haven't watched this guy's show for about a year. It is just to friggin hard to watch.

At least the story comes from an unbiased source.

Come on. I love how it is the year of the PS3 when sales of the console and its AAA titles are the smallest of the three consoles. Like it or not, this was the year of the Wii and the 360 in terms of console sales and game sales. That isn't spin...that is fact. Look it up. These AAA titles (many of which were truly awesome) didn't really sell that well. Luke warm sales doesn't mean that the PS3 isn't doing well, but these sa...

This is "huge" news? If the timed release of a "AAA" title like Ghostbusters is "huge" Playstation news then Sony is really screwed. Am I missing something? Does anyone even want to play this game? You do realize that these movies came out in the 80's and they haven't made a sequel since part two because no one cares about the series any more.

Games are just about graphics. If they were, then just about every PC game would be more popular than any console game. After all, I can run Crysis at far higher resolutions on my PC than any PS3 game. Games are about other things too. Storyline, depth, fun factor, etc.. Halo isn't played millions of times a year because it is the best looking game. They are tons of better games, and from the look of it, KZ2 will be far better looking in the graphics department. Halo 3 is played becau...

Fanboys are a really pathetic breed. I watched a bunch of trailers, including the one for God of War 3. As a 360 owner I can say that GoW3 looks great. I wish it would come out for my system, but I recognize that this will never happen. For whatever reason, a bunch of you Sony folk can't be equally honest about xbox properties. All I ever see is Gears 1.5 even though GOW2 smokes the graphics of Resistance 2. GOW2 is the best looking shooter and it will retain that crown until Killzone 2...

I think that it is pretty clear that this guy doesn't like MS. He is not alone. Lots of people don't like the company either. That said, facts still matter, at least they should in an intelligent discussion.

A quick check on the facts of the health of MS reveals that profits are actually up, not down. According to the NY Times on October 28, 2008, "Microsoft’s revenue in its first quarter, ended Sept. 30 (2008), rose 9 percent to nearly $15.1 billion from $13.8 billi...

If this is true, this news is a disaster. Let me explain why.

There are two potential classes of people that buy consoles: casual and die hard gamers. By not cutting the price for the holidays versus March, Sony is going to lose out on the casual gamer. The average soccer mom isn't going to spend $400 on a console in this economy. That isn't to say that the same mom will purchase a 360 or Wii, but Sony will be at the worst pricepoint this holiday. That kills the casual gamer. ...

You make it sound like they weren't telling the truth about the numbers. For that, you are wrong. The numbers are the numbers. The numbers don't lie. The numbers suggest that the 360's third party titles have simply sold better than similar titles on the other consoles. That is simply true. What you could attack is the conclusion that they drew from the numbers. You could say that this is unfair because the 360 had a year head start or MS has better marketing. Those theories attack th...

Am I missing something? Why do people keep excusing the 360's better numbers on the price cut like it is a bad thing? It is common sense that price cuts will do good things. That is why MS is in a great position this gen. I am not saying the 360 is better, but it will always be cheaper. Cheaper is normally enough, but in this economic climate, price will be evrything.

I love N4G, but the “stories” that have been published lately are troubling. This story is a perfect example. This isn’t a story at all, but is just one guy’s opinion. This person certainly has a right to his opinion, but I don’t see how his opinion offers anything to a site that I thought was devoted to gaming news and reviews.

Before I go further, let me acknowledge that I own a 360 and a Wii. Before you discount my opinion as a fan boy, let me say that I don’t believe ...

There is a term called "jumping the shark.". This term signifies the moment that something that was once great begins to suck.

N4G just jumped the shark.

I can't believe that a forum posting qualifies as a story. I used to love this site but this is madness.

There have to parameters about what qualifies as news. I can handle someone's editorial, but we can't accept forum posts. That is just too far.

RIP N4G.
