Out of all the developers/publishers, Phoenix Point is the scummiest that went about this. It was a kick-started game in order to secure a funding, and once they were past a certain stage where their game was in working condition, they turned around and screwed majority of their backers that supported them in the first place. People were expecting to get what was said in the campaign-ad, a steam/gog key at launch. Now, they must wait an entire year for the timed-exclusivity deal is up before ...
I'm simply not going to support the Epic Games Store, mainly due to the fact that they are using timed-exclusives as a wait to bring people over. I do not support that kind of practice at all so they can shove it back in their arse. I will gladly wait for those timed-exclusive games to hit Steam. That actually works out because by then there will be more new content and hopefully all the bugs and glitched will be ironed out. Plus, I will able to clear out some other games that I owned for...
What's next, watching porn is better on the switch than on PC?
This article is trash and I don't know why it got approved.
I don't trust Square Enix's in-house development for games. They are terrible at making them and take forever to make games, and even when they do eventually release they are mediocre at best.
I'm surprised Nintendo let this pass through. Either they knew about it and went along with it or were completely oblivious to the ideas that could spawn from it.
This guy talks too much.
I don't think it really matters what happens at this point. Bioware is not the same anymore as all the creative head developers left long ago. In all honestly, I think it be best if they tried something different. It's clear they lost their way in the RPG formula. It wouldn't matter if they were let go or shut down, all the top talent are gone.
Wouldn't this be a bit too soon though as they were only acquired last year. I don't wanna be seeing something and waiting 3+ years for it to release. I'm tired of it when games get shown off too early and don't release within 12 months.
Honestly I think they should stick with what they're really good and well known for. They have made new IPs, so it's not like they are repeating a game series over and over. Me personally, I hope they stick to the third-person action/adventure/RPG style with a set difficulty in mind. That's what made me love their games and I hope they don't stray away from that too much.
If they were to try something very different, I think an horror/eerie atmospheric game...
No
At this point Bioware is dead. All the top talented people left and management is a mess. It's sad because Anthem's development isn't even EA's fault, it all on Bioware. They had 7 years, and this is what we got in the end. Just accept it, Bioware is dead and is a former shell of themselves. Honestly, I rather see them completely shut down then go independent. I can't imagine how terrible things would be run at Bioware if they went independent right now.
I friggen loved the first game, it's honestly one of my top 5 favorite PS4 exclsuives. The combat, story, setting, world, and enemies was really refreshing and I cannot wait for more of it. It was amazing, especially for a brand new IP from the makers of Killzone. It was extremely impressive what they accomplished with Horizon Zero Dawn.
Ironically, that was one of my favorite things about Horizon Zero Dawn. The combat was so much fun, especially on harder difficulties where you have to plan your strategies out against the enemies, and boy I loved all the enemy designs. The setting, world, story, combat, enemies, it was all very refreshing and I absolutely loved it.
Exactly, there are so many games these days that I can easily skip out on some and play them later down the road after some time.
The thing is, I got a feeling Valve is not going to do anything about this. They are taking so long to respond to this timed exclusivity thing and they yet to do anything about it other than update the review system and change the revenue system (which still sucks).
I honestly don't see Valve doing much of anything to compete against Epic unless their hand is literally forced. Regardless though, I still don't plan on buying anything from Epic Game Store. It's a...
Congrats. I wonder how many people actually got gud and beat it in its entirely though.
I meant as in "don't buy this game in any shape or form".
I suggest people stay far away from this game no matter how good the trailer is or what people say of it. Stay far away from it, you will thank me later.
Doesn't Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo also takes 30% cut from games? If so, then why is it that Valve are deemed the bad ones here when everyone is doing the same cut? Hell, consoles have just as much of a problem as PC gaming/Valve does. Steam/Valve and consoles have 30% cut. PC gaming has piracy and consoles have used games. Both of these forms are things that developers can not make a profit on at all. Why is nobody making a change in this?
It's called common decency. I don't think you understand what common decency is.
