No, Sony wasn't sure how it would be received so they didn't just flood the market with millions and millions of headsets. Now, it has sold well and they can look at the demand and produce what they think is good for the market. You do know that this is a new product and these companies weren't really sure how the public would take it. Why put a ton of product on the shelf that may not sell. That would be a waste of money and resources. You have to think outside that little bubble...
I'm pretty sure the drawing board started a long time ago. The Pro is just an extension of the PS4.
It won't be a one time thing. Not if it does well. If it does then we will have the PS5 Pro. And I really don't mind if they keep it at 3 years or so. Doing it every year or even 2, wouldn't be a smart choice and I would be totally against that.
Last, there is NO way in the world that the PS5 is 6 years away. I wouldn't say 3 or 4 max.
Wow!!! I mean at least try to use your brain. The console is 4.2tflops with 32bit floats. Ok, here's where it can get tricky if you have fanboy goggles on and your brain turned off. 16 is half of 32, therefore if all the PS4 is doing is 16 bit floats, then it can output double its total tflops. Sooo, from 4.2 to 8.4. Notice how using simple math, people can come up with these numbers.

I've never seen people complain so much. It's getting to the point where I'm going to either stop coming to this site or just quit reading comments. It's getting ridiculous and out of hand. I don't know how old some of you are on here but if this is a bunch of adults then I'm even more fed up. I'm grateful that this site doesn't represent the entire Playstation community because if it did we would be up sh!t Creek.

You do realize that most 3rd party games on Nintendo consoles sell next to nothing right? Why would any company waste their time and resources(OR BETTER YET MONEY) on something if no ones going to buy their product? If companies start to see a shift with this trend then they will put games on the system. You know why? Because all these companies like to make money not lose it. If Nintendo would stop releasing these middle of the gen little horsepower consoles then it wouldn't be such an i...
Mine was loud too until i took it apart and cleaned all the dust out. Now it's quiet again. I would recommend doing it at least once a year or when you start to hear it sound like a vacuum.

You do know that they are trying to drop the price of the system right and not go in the other direction?
When it's so easy to buy and change a HD, if someone really wanted more storage they could do it themselves. It's pretty easy.
Even if they sold it at the same price but the HD cost $5 extra for each unit, add up the cost for 1 million units. You may not care about money but Sony sure does.
Would love for them to give some Playstation some love but it probably won't happen. Wish them well on their new strategy.....

Don't worry at your disagrees. People don't know how the world works and think the US is the center of the universe. Prices are not going to ever be the same across countries but people can't seem to wrap their head around the issue and even know the reason why it is this way.
Yeah, I'm still on the fence but that Drive Club preview was pretty impressive. I watched the Youtube video and the way the player described his experience while playing really blew me away. He pretty much said it was like driving in real life and that your senses take over like your driving for real when braking and etc....But if the Neo comes this year then I'm only going to get that and hold off for VR until next year.
Why would it have to do all that? Do Nintendo handhelds do all that? It just needs more games like the DS and it will be good. Sony needs to put more effort into it and it may turn things around. Also, needs to be cheaper out the gate.
Yes and there's a video of it in someone's entertainment center and it doesn't look that bad either. Do I like the original better? Yes. But this one doesn't look that bad.....well at least what people are making it out to be.
Right and you can add the Wii, GameCube, and Nintendo 64 to the list. People act as if this is something new with Nintendo. They've been weak with 3rd party for generations....
Just think about it for a second. If it cost less to make then Sony can pass that savings to the consumer. Even if making this slim only saved them a penny per console made, add up their savings say for a million consoles. That would be $10,000. Now imagine if they saved $1 per console. There's a million right there.....who wouldn't want a million dollars????
