Time Splitters 2 is one of my favourite console shooters ever! that opening level is the closest we'll ever get to a GoldenEye 64 remake :p
as said by others: Grabbed by the ghoulies was also in Rare Replay and that didn't stop them + it would be like a reward for people who own the disc as they can now play it in 4K on their Xbox One X. Also: Live and Reloaded had Multiplayer, Bad Fur Day did not
Great list!
Ary and the secret of seasons has a pretty unique gameplay mechanic 🙂 I got to play their demo and it's really fun to see in action 😁
Check @bloodyspasm on Twitter 🙂 I'm going to start a Giveaway for it tomorrow 😉
This is the type of idea I wish I had thought of to write about 😅
If you're talking to me (author) the TV's were 4K 40' Samsungs, probably around the 500€ range. I cant wait to see what it looks like on my Philips 55POS9002 😍
The 5 PC's that ran Shadow of Mordor were not at the Xbox Stand, they were at the Shadow Of Mordor stand...
No PC's were running Assassins creed, some were running Forza 7 but with no noticeable difference (besides the Xbox One X having a better 4k TV screen) at least 3/5 PC's set up to run Shadow Of war seemed to suffer issues though
It's first and foremost more fun than the original! I kind of had to force myself to play through Star Fox, but I had a decent time with Star Fox 2. Lost my first attempt, then beat the game 3 times in a row. Just a shame a playthrough only lasts about 40-50 minutes...
I have to disagree somewhat. We can all agree that some games never lose their flair, most 2D pixelated games can still look very appealing today. You even have modern games trying to imitate those. But star fox 2 misses that visual appeal. And that was one of the original game's main draws when it released.
I think having games available at reasonable prices and from stores that have easy access (steam, humble, GOG, ps and xbox store) will be the best remedy. Surprisingly the more digital the offer becomes, the less piracy I expect to see
In that case you could make the same case for movies... If a full movie is available on youtube, why bother buying it? Some games are more like interactive movies. But with More immersion because you feel directly affected by any consequence. Personally I quite like them. Narcosis, everybody's gone to the rapture, gone home...
Are there any games you didnt play because you instead watched a streamer play them? For me this was "The Last of Us" on PS3 because I didnt have that console. But I do have a ps4 now so I'll be playing the remake 😅
How many of you own a VR headset? Are you happy with it or was it just a fleeting novelty?
yes :) if you own the Xbox One version already, the PC version is free as well (or vice versa via Microsoft's cross-play)
I'm curious about everyones favorite game on the list by the way :) Mine's either Super Metroid or Final Fantasy VI... (can't decide)
Ended up getting mine from a local online store, they threw in a contest and one random person will get €800 worth of games (wishing on a lucky star)
I'm putting my money on a Sony 4K TV with built in PS4 pro 😛
Original title was: Gamesutra - what's your favourite position? But then I remembered Gamasutra is a thing :(
