biggest downfall of the ps4 is the controller battery life , almost impossible for it to be used for things other than gaming by multiple people .
from my and my families short experience with both systems , xbox's voice and hands free media playback is a killer app , however if i didn't use my console for other kinds of media i'd save the 100$ and buy a ps4 .

kinect is awesome for controlling streaming services
i had the same experience , once i learned the commands kinect is almost 100% . i like i can turn it on and be into a game while reaching for my controller . And as a entertainment device tv , netflix , music kinect makes it so easy and i'm not burning battery life while using it for non gaming . ps4 is already annoying me when other members of the family are constantly draining batteries watching streaming movies , ps4 controllers short battery life isn't up to the challenge of being...
i'd like to mash both consoles together and get the perfect console , controller - give me the xb1 battery life , ir sensor , rumble and the analog stick , ps4 - the bumpers . give me the kinect voice , and the ps4 design . and give me the xbox ui ,network speed , and friends system . give me the way games look and run on the ps4 ....and give me halo titanfall uncharted , and infamous on one console ....thats all i want...is that too much to ask ;-)
@nexxxus , i've tried netflix on both the ps4 and xbox , and i need the controller for fine details of netflix navigation on the ps4 , so the controller is on , wasting its short battery life for non games . xb1 i don't need the controller to ever be in my hand or even on . kinect voice has been 100% for me now that i'm using the right commands . i admit it would be less of a big deal if the ps4 battery life was closer to the ps3
one big bonus of the xb1 over the ps4 , i don't have to burn battery on my controller when watching netflix , or find a remote to watch tv for that matter . its very impressive and as long as you use the correct phrasing its worked every time for me .
played around with the ps4 , just started with the xb1 , and the xb1 is far superior web browsing imo , ps4 looks like something that was made for last gen console , xb1 looks like its so much more integrated , works smoother . hopefully sony works to get it better .

i had a ps3 disc get stuck from a minor bump , it cost me over $100 to get it fix by sony and it took months . so stupid design or manufacturing mistakes like this are not needed with even the mildest of forethought . i guarantee the next revision of the hardware will have supports on the 4 corners where they should have been in the first place . and the fact that you are arguing over something i admit wasn't fatal just annoying , proves who is in the bubble
do you live in a sony bubble , there is noway a 400$ consumer electronic device should have a stupid flaw like that . your playing a game and your 2 year old puts his hand on the machine , and a disc get jammmed or scratched because of a 1 cent nub , you can't set anything on top of it now it will be off balanced . its not fatal flaw its just weird as hell
