my opinion as well , its the 100$ because the game selection is better on the xb1
the $100 is retail not cost to manufacture , the ram is one place that is allot cheaper for the xb1 . the difference in the kinect is probably closer to 120$-$150 , just a guess , they could probably uncut sony right now if they wanted to take kinect out of the box
might see it down the road , with cheaper hardware in the main box they could sell a budget model and undercut sony's price
interesting he said driver not os update , what drivers is the question , people complained about lack of sound options , and the graphics driver i guess would be logical considering some 3rd party performance issues , might also be something for the bluray or HD to improve loading/install times . i guess its expected when they thru their first os in the trash 4 months before launch
i just hope they can avoid a day 1 meltdown like other online required games

problem for ms , if the hardware is inferior , they will need to under cut sony on price , and having kinect in the box and os built around it , is going to make that difficult , games are going to have to be system sellers , worth the extra money , doesn't leave them room for many stinkers

curious how many former ps3/360 players moved to pc in the last couple of years , this generation lasted too long and the rise of steam . coming back to the ps4 because of the $399 reasonable entree price .
if your using the console alone 7 hrs is probably ok , but not with kids and a wife using it for streaming music and games , my machine is in constant use , its a step back from the ds3 , without a good battery all other improvement don't matter
my opinion , gta , bioshock and the last of us are 1 2 3 , in what order depends on my mood , all are great !

fix the bumpers on the xb1 and the battery life on the DS4 and it would be a dead tie until then the xb1 wins because dead battery trumps bad bumpers
mine is 6 or 7 hrs and for that reason alone the xb1 controller is better. if the DS4 had the battery life of the DS3 is would win by a mile
it will be closer when ms drops the price even with sony's , i wouldn't say its a very big lead at all not at 100$ cheaper
summons75 , in a year from now sony might be killing ms for exclusive games but for right now , ryse is better than knack , peggle2 is as good as resogun , and dead rising is better than killzone , and forza is the best game on both systems. and yes i've played them all , just my opinion
