For exclusives and indies its been great, but for AAA blockbuster staple games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Need For Speed, etc, its been a sham. All our favorite big name games from last gen have turned to garbage. Plus the greed in the industry has increased with unfinished games, $60 season passes, and micro-transactions.

Remember back in the day when we played games and enjoyed them instead of obsessing over personal opinions aka reviews on the internet by "critics".

*sigh* I miss the 6th gen...

Laptop drives only go up to 2TB

External Hard Drive Support & Library management Sony come on. How am I supposed to download the past 2 1/2 years of PS Plus games on a 1TB drive? Not even a 2TB would hold all my games. My Xbox One has 2TB storage and I can add more space, and my PS3 was super organized back in the day with folders. Only good thing I see out of this update is appear offline.

GOTY

Why not just allow us to insert PS2 discs Sony? You have a working emulator in the firmware just as Xbox One yet they allow disc. Upscaling.....what a cash grab.

According to PS Support, PSN speeds are capped around 40 or so to "ensure network stability".

SharePlay is neat but the problem is PSN bandwidth is a joke. I have 126Mbps internet on my PC and on my PS4 it's 30Mbps in a DMZ hard wired. A bit low but that should be plenty for share play right? Sadly no. According to the Share Play connection test, my quality is low. And its not my friend's end as his internet is close to mine in terms of speed. They have PSN speeds capped at 40Mbps or so and its sad. My PC gets 126Mbps and my XB1 gets 100Mbps. Shareplay is neat but I personally...

Why is this on N4G? This supposed to be a site about gaming news, not PR issues. Nobody cares about this.

Do what I do. Don't expect any games, pretend its like the old days where you paid for the online service and were grateful, not to feel entitled to "free" games that always suck. I don't even download these "free" games, they suck. They're not what I pay for. I'd rather the money go to upgrading the network infrastructure (remove PSN bandwidth cap anyone?) than be spent by Sony buying crap indies to put up as "free".

MS in 2nd place this gen is wonderful as it forces them to compete and put out quality AAA titles on Games with Gold. Ex: this month Sunset Overdrive, Dead Space, Saints Row 4, & The Wolf Among Us, all playable on Xbox One. PS+ hasn't been decent since we got Rocket League or Outlast, all we get is indies no one has heard of. PS+ destroyed Gold last gen but it seems Sony is becoming like MS from last gen, too confident in 1st place and not listening to consumers. We've begged for ...

For best single player games and graphics (plus indies), go PS4.

For best multiplayer games and network (plus backwards compatibility), go Xbox One.

I own both. This is from personal experience from years on these brands. On come the fanboys.

My advice: Keep your old 360 and enjoy all the old games and not depend on greedy Activision.

1. That was a launch controller problem and has been fixed.

2. Really not needed.

3. Yes.

4. One of my reasons I love my Xbox One and am disappointed by Sony's complicated architecture choice with the PS3.

5. It is needed but luckily I still love my name after all these years.

6. Both have had issues. I personally have a bias for some Xbox Live just because I loved my 360 last gen and had so much fun. I ...

For sure but I'm afraid too many games will be made for it and will have a 5 min fun factor then just become a chore.
