I think people hate on him because they wish they can get inside scoop and all the video game industry Intel like him, at least he is not like the dry and boring cookie-cutter game journalist out there, is his style and delivery way out there? oh definitely, but I like the energy this guys gives out and dude is obviously sincere about what he does and doesn't give two sh!ts what people think about him, the more hate you give, the more bigger he gets...plus I do believe that because he is ...
hmmm...should it matter? Yes and No....No because the games that are made like this are/is passable enough to look good, but is passing just enough? That's like saying you planed on doing a A+ job, but you will settle for a C+ or B- job.
Yes because if you are not going to take full advantage of the console (whether it be 360 or PS3) then why bother at all? People are not paying all this money on HDTV's for nothing. Either make "next-gen" game or don't....stuff ...
Valve: Stop making excuses, grow a pair and make a damn game for the PS3 already, stop babbling a bunch of bullsh!t and just DO IT! You are probably the only developer left out there that is scared to take a challenge and create a game for the PS3...what are you afraid of? Failure? Yeah..I think that's it.
well, its not like its running in 540P like SC:Conviction and 576P like Alan Wake its clocked at 644P so its barely noticeable...but even the two games I mentioned above still look damn good and if this type of news never leaked, no one would really care, so I don't see all the fuss...plus if you have a damn good HDTV you probably won't even really notice anyway....at least R* was kind enough to give the PS3 exclusive content: Solomon’s Folly Gang Hideout and Walton Gang Outfit. So it...
I would not even consider Dead Rising a horror game....Left 4 Dead is more in line, but there is a few that should of been definitely up there:
Siren - (the PS3 version) damn good underrated and overlooked horror title
Silent Hill 3
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
The Thing
The Suffering
Condemned
I definitely would, I grew up in the era when games where text based on my Commodore 64 and 128 and my Tandy TRS-80
Dude...think about it. The 360 is primarily the main platform...that why it performs better, this is nothing new. You should know that by now. but the tides are starting turn, like I said earlier, if you build a game on a 360 platform and you know for a fact that PS3 uses a waaaay different technology, don't you think it would a SMART idea to approach it differently instead of being lazy about the situation and selling the game "as-is"?
If you are not going to take the t...
@SKCShifty....
Facts? Dude...what are you talking about, they did a sh!t job on the porting, Lost Planet and there is no excuse for it to look like sh!t, they had damn near a year to tweaker and perfect it, the PS3 can obviously handle this game.....then how to do explain other games that where ported by other devs look just as good if not better? Perfect example Alone in the Dark..the reason it scored higher is because the dev had more time to work in it......if you know for a fact ...
I knew they where going to screw this installment up just like they did a piss poor job of trying to port the original one over to the PS3.
good for them, now Valve needs to take their skirts off and grow a pair a make a kick ass game for the PS3.
It may be flawed but it one of the best damn adult themed games to ever grace ANY console in this generation and its truly a masterpeice and only expereienced on the PS3 which is another reason why people keep trying to throw negativity on the game (just like this article) Quantic Dream gets major props for attempting to make a game like this that breaks the humdrum norm of cookie cutter FPS and same ol' lame RPG's and JRPG's.
Who the hell cares if it is, there is no such thing a perfec...
why do people continue to pull the PS3 outta their azz every time a review for a 360 game (especially if its an exclusive) and vice versa (360 fans are not excluded from this either, you folks are just as bad!) as what is funny is that most people that don't recognize a certain because its not the mainstream (IGN, Gamespot, 1up...etc) they are quick to say.. "I'll wait till a "real" gamer site reviews, or the favorite one "who the hell is "insert your site" espec...
This game is coming from the people I think either developed or published Deadly Premonition. I dunno about this one...definitely will have to show and prove.
But does it really...really matter? I bet if no one knew about this, no one would care.
what the hell kinda information is this? The doesn't explain anything. All they said is after Episode 1 and 2 is good?...Okay...good how? This is the most vague "review"...at least go into SOME kind of details, this means nothing. I know they said this is his take before he actually reviews it, but he would of been better off just keeping this to himself and saving his thought for a more in depth review....playing 2 episode don't mean jack..at least elaborate on gameplay, plot (not ...
this is why they should of sold this game for 39.99.
This does look good...but his movements appear to be little on the clunky side...the way the character runs looks like he is doing the "running man" or something, a little stiff and the facial animations look a little mannequin side...sorry, but Uncharted 2 got the facial animations down pat..this is not knocking the game by no means so calm down 360 fans. The lighting is amazing, but I want to see how this game looks in the day light in motion.....a game set in darkness can easily ...
if no one hasn't played the Fatal Frame games...i suggest you do so...but yes, horror games need a "reboot". Silent Hill 2, Fatal Frame, Resident Evil 1 and 2...are great...I can't stand the direction the RE game have went.
One thing I saw the article gave a nod too which cool was the game Phantasmagoria...that was my very first CD-ROM game and horror game....an amazing game for its time.
He really had better be able to back up what he is saying because the folks at Guerrilla Games did a hell of a job at making Killzone 2 and it was such a technical feat that people still hating on it (fanboys, media, devs...) The Cyrtek people just better pray their game doesn't turn into a "Haze" situation and stick their foot in their mouths, because honestly, the current screen shots that are being shown now aren't nothing to get excited about so far....so they had really better ...
that all depends on how you look at it....from a technical standpoint, of course, that is a stupid question, but if you look at the longevity, I'd say that the PS3 is on its way to becoming better than the PS2. Its really not a fair comparison to make with something that has been out 10+ years and has a monstrous size library and the PS3 is just getting its sea legs going.
The PS3 has had a slow start, but its been kicking major ass since mid last year, I definitely say by 2011 th...
