as testerg35 stated Sony's technology requires an eye toy and 2 lollipops controllers to work... so your whole money speech goes right out the window.
99.9% of PS3 owners do not own the eyetoy... since up to this point there is no reason to own one.. unless you are very loyal sony leg humper...

freaken duhh.. this is an MMO... if they even want to remotely make money on this game which will have a very limited fanbase.. they must bring to the PC, PS3 and xbox 360... specially since there will be a fee to play.
Sadly Sony wanted to use this as a PR stun and imply that the PS3 was getting an exclusive Final Fantasy game... I guess microsoft will wait until the next event to drop the bomb...

Yeah? They didn't have a problem "render[ing] the older software incompatiable. " by removing UMD completely... so, why not add touch screen.. it's not like you can play your all UMD games in it.
Bottom line is that this device could of come out back when the PSP was launched since it does not offer improvements over the original PSP... none.. as matter of fact is has less capabilities.. such as not being able to play all existing UMD games.
@Forrest Gump - no cheese... but will need lots and lots of wine to be drunk enough to pay $249 for a dumb down (NO UMD) PSP....
As many can obviously see... any body can say, "[enter game here] is only possible on [enter console name here]" and be nothing more than marketing PR since this can only be proven by bringing the game to another console and compare the differences.
Sony uses the same marketing bull crap when they know a certain game is exclusive and will never see the light in another console.. hence left to never be a proven fact.

why do people have to think of this as a game? why can't it be integrated into the xbox interface as an optional feature.

lol.. duhh... that's what I've being saying.. this is an MMO game.. and based on the fact that Final Fantaxy XI costs like $12.95/month.. why would they undermine the existing games and make this one free? This game will also end up on the PC.. maybe not on the xbox 360 since Final Fantasy XI didn't do that well.. console fans are not really MMO players...

I mean.. damn... I favor Microsoft but I think a B+ is fair... since I would of love to see Microsoft mention more about the Fall update, future community enhancements, etc.
