You just ruled out every single console game heh

Well by purchasing bioshock infinite PC I got Xcom, Darkness 2, Bioshock and of course infinite so I can't really complain if the game sucks. Xcom alone costs more than the bundle.

The game has been programmed to utilize the cell hardware. The beloved hardware optimization of consoles is what stops them from being easily BC.

@edonus Serious? I develop games as a hobby and plenty of other people like me exist. Tools like Unity and UDK are already very easy to use. Anyone could work with them. What part is a complicated process?

@ALLWRONG I'm a PC Gamer

well console gamers live with these problems with most of their games when compared to PC so IGN probably believes it wont effect these people and instead urge people with both console and PC to pick up the PC version. In other words its an attempt to not fuel the huge war going on atm and instead just tell people which is better.

points were knocked off. The PC version has a 9.5 and the console version has a 9.4 due to clunkier controls and muddy visuals.

If you are a programmer then Unity is great. It allows you to work with C# and see your changes in real time. Code once and deploy on multiple platforms with Mono. Although Unity can handle DX11 now it has a lot less prebuilt shaders and effects compared to UDK. The licensing for Unity is also better as you only have to buy a license when you earn more than $100,000 a year. You do not have to pay a percent of your earnings like with UDK.

I guess I should add that you can als...

@PandaMobile A lot of this is because of Mono allowing us to reach a whole load of platforms with the same code. I worked on a key bind system for Unity which you can find on my bitbucket page if you want to make that part of porting simpler.

Well I sure hope you console gamers do get 1080p. It's awesome. If it is a "supercharged" PC like sony says then it should be able to do 1080p easily with most mid - high end PCs handling 1600p atm.

All physical media will "evaporate". It is only a matter of time.

Thank god for that. It would be a waste of good money.

Wrong the 8350 blows the 2500k out of the water if you look at the benchmarks. Also people saying games are not optimized for 8 cores on PC are crazy. The engines are what need to be optimized to use multithreading and FB2 already uses all 8 cores of my CPU equally.

I dislike how websites take what devs say out of context. "Compared to the PS3 it’s a walk in the park"
