I would put a /s in there before you get attacked by people who can't pick up on sarcasm.
I have limited desk space because of my multi monitor setup. I play a lot of old games on my PC. It would be very convenient to have backwards compatibility. I can't imagine having to gather my previous PCs and set them up everytime I wanted to play an older game.
"Do you know what this site has devolved into this passed month? A bunch of crying children who feel slighted for absolutely no reason. I mean it's pathetic. The amount of "this site is overrun and controlled by ___ fanboys," the sarcastic responses on any number of articles and blogs by whiny "I'm not represented properly" fanboys, it's just sad. "
I feel as if you believe my blog may belong to the last group. In fact you have in thi...
It would be nice if they told us what it did.
I believe all programmers want to write good code. We take pride in what we create which makes me feel a little offended by people using "lazy devs" when they should probably be using "less experienced developers". I am not sure why having to use cheap tricks like huge guns and texture streaming is considered good practice. More ram means everything else will run a little better. The CPU will have to do less garbage collection which is a very expensive operation that goes ...
Exactly, but we are talking about how min specs for PC games this gen have been equal to or greater than the PS3 specs so it makes sense that the same thing will happen next gen.
It won't be funny.
I don't even want to read, too sad :(
"*facepalm* You're trying to state that because parts wear down, games should also have something that reduces the quality since they don't break down?"
No I simply stated that games don't. What I am trying to explain is that if new and used was the same except for price in another industry things would go bad fast.
"But just because games don't wear down is no reason to punish people for wanting to save money"

"So Ford deserves a cut of every used car sale from every used car lot? Nintendo should be compensated for every NES sold on eBay to collectors? Developers get their share when they sell the game to the retail store. They made a finite amount of discs and shouldn't be compensated multiple times for one disc. That's ridiculous. Bull. Game quality doesn't reduce by being used unlike things like cars that wear down after awhile. You pop a disc in, it's still the same game as...
This is currently in the post and will be my first JRPG. It seems like I am discovering Japan at the moment after watching Spirited Away and another harder to type ghibli film.
I disagree about online passes even though my opinion on the matter seems to be hated. I believe that the developers deserve as share of a sale. If you choose to buy used you should not expect the same quality as buying new, that's how it works elsewhere. The problem with buying used games, DVDs and music is that there is no downside. Online passes may be a little expensive for my liking but I always buy new and wait for a sale if I want something cheaper.
I doubt Europeans even noticed. So I guess they will feel nothing?
This is like the people who believe steam sales are bad for the industry because gamers buy less at launch even when Valve show how much more they make when a game is on sale. It is most likely the same with Sony. Virtues last reward is pretty interesting.
Yep, I wonder why consoles dont have POST error messages.
It is the same on PC, even when you are at 60fps most of the time the game decides to nose dive and you hit 20 then fly back up. I hope the new engine fixed this.
Yay now I don't need to install mods to run the game smoothly. Wait PC as lead platform? I hope that means they found success with Dark Souls on PC.
"Note: Up to 100 icons can be displayed on the home screen, including icons inside folders. A memory card must be inserted in your PS Vita system to view videos. Some types of videos cannot be played."

"So because PS4 has rightly been a hot topic since February, there's some kind of fanboy offensive going on"
I never said that. It seems there is no way to speak out against a problem without being a fanboy or troll. This is ridiculous.
"The nVidia issue is nVidia's own doing and has nothing to do with Playstation fanboys. nVidia made themselves look like fools with their comments, especially when you look at their history with consoles...
It's not if you only own a PS3 and do not enjoy score counting. For me I only care about PSN and Steam. Luckily I live in the UK and everything was up when I got home. I understand why people would be pissed off.
