I know quite a bit about games development and I must have missed all these people calling epic liars. I don't really think it is a compliment if you are saying that the console is better than most PCs. I'm pretty sure that is just common knowledge.
@wishingW3L "between 2000-3000 dollars with brands like Alienware." Who in there right mind buys alienware. Outdated hardware for a premium price. Build it yourself and it is not too bad. Most likely more expensive than a PS4 though. It is important to note that a PC is not just a gaming machine though. I use my PC for many things and gaming is just one of them.
You just listed a load of technology apart from the HLSL that has been on PC for many years. I have an 8 core CPU / DirectX 11 GPU and that in no way makes my PC high end at all.
Well I can't wait for Unity support for the vita, I will be sure to port over my projects and learn a little bit about console hardware.
We use HDDs or SSDs as they are much faster than optical drives.

I wish people would stop hyping this up to be something it is not. It is low end hardware. Why the need to constantly tell us it is high end or better than current PCs. It makes no sense. Tablet CPU + mid range GPU does not = high end.
As opposed to what, visual studio is the only decent solution. I bet a load of programmers used it on the PS3 as well. What is your point? Plus don't you just love the caps lock menus.
