From what I read it will be something new. It says a new franchise not an existing one (GTA is an existing franchise). So guess until they are ready to announce it we will just have to wait.

It's the 3rd one, not Anchorage or Pitt, it's the one that you can join the Brotherhood of Steel (I forget the name of it). That's the one that raises the cap to 30. If you go on Xbox live they have a preview for it.

DVD is in every device because it's dirt cheap to make, bluray is not. When bluray gets dirt cheap I'm sure it will be at that time. I'll am saying is it would not make sense for apple to do so and would cause unwanted attention to apple by offering a bluray player with less then 1080p resolution on most of their screen resolution lineup and apple sells 720p movies in the itunes store to go along their 720p playback capability of most of their products. Your argument about HDMI is not vali...

Halo ODST is suppose to take place during the first invasion of earth. It's really suppose to be during Halo 2 times, but was given the Halo 3 title. I don't know why the just didn't call it Halo ODST, I guess it was more of the Halo 3 name for marketing and sales. I wonder what the game play is going to be like since your weaker then MC and don't have the strength, speed, armor and force shield as MC so taking on elites and hunters are going to be a lot harder.

I think people should read the Halo books, the Fall of Reach, the Flood, and First Strike they are really good (I don't normally read gaming books but seeing the reviews I bought them from amazon). To know how the Spartan program started, what he looks like, how many medals he has when wearing dress uniform, how many battles he's been in, how he sleeps between missions, how MC becomes the spartan leader, what we does and how bad a$$ he really is. How the spartans get the armor they wear. H...

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't bluray the new HD format winner? Why would there need to be one in every device, it's the only HD format available and the adaption rate will pickup when it gets cheaper. It would be good for Apple to offer it as an option but then it means Apple will have to revamp most of their lineup with screens that are capable of 1080p. It would go against common and business sense to offer a player as an option if a product can't show off full 1080 and only do 720p ...

I say just skip it all that and go with SDHC/XDHC card readers that are firmware upgradeable. SDHC cards are at 64gb currently and will come down price to a few bucks in a few years and XDHC (1 TB +) will be out too. Now you have no mechanical parts, you can slim down the form factor of the new console, have faster read times, consume less power, less heat etc... The biggest issue is not losing your SDHC card with the game on it somewhere in your house.

The point I was trying to make is the reason for bluray is 1080p so it would be a moot point trying to run in on a 720p system. Can you even watch movies at 900p or does it default to 720p? I didn't think you could, even though the systems native resolution supports 900p. I have a Macbook pro aluminum and all the media I have defaults to 720p even though I run 900p as a default resolution.

Correction: I meant Apple does not offer any bluray as an option to their systems not 3r...

There are a couple of issues with Macs supporting bluray.

1) unless you have a 17" macbook pro, 720p is all your going to get on every macbook 13" and macbook pro 15". Only the 24" inch screens on macs run 1080p the rest do 720p. So you won't get full resolution (you can output to a 1080p tv)

2) there is no option for a bluray player to be added in

The more important is does quick time player support bluray if it does then all you n...

I agree with you, but most people aren't going to buy a Mac then spend more money on a Windows OS. I have done it (install Windows) only because my Macbook Pro doesn't do everything my Windows notebook did. Having owned both 4 Windows notebooks, 5 Windows desktops, and 1 Macbook pro, I can say yes a Mac is more expensive and doesn't offer the wide range of configurations like a Window PC, but for some intangible reason, I like it better.

For most people's needs a Windows net...

They could have an internal flash memory (4-16gb) with an external memory slot to replace UMD. The question how big it will be and how much will you have to pay for a cell phone plan. In order for it to compete and used as a phone it has to be somewhat small like an iphone or blackberry (so screen touch makes sense to reduce size). Also, your going have to get a cell phone plan for a monthly unless sony is going to offer 3g for free, I'm guessing $39 voice + $20 data like an iphone a month...

I hope this time around they add in all the features other smart phones had for a while (such as video) and improved battery life over the 3G iphone (crossing fingers). I still have the 2G iphone and didn't upgrade to 3G so I'm hoping this is the one to upgrade for.

A price cut would be good, but is it normal for them to release a press release on a Saturday? I would think they would want it on a weekday like Tuesday so people can buy it on the weekend, but anyways at $299 I will seriously consider buying it.

Not sure why they decided to raise your levels in the 3rd DLC pack, but I'm going to wait until it comes out to get it, then go backwards and purchase the other 2 (hopefully that works) so I can go up in levels. The game is good but for some reason without the leveling aspect of it, it loses something.

The problem with DLC is that the time frame it comes out and the lasting affects of the game. If a game is good and the DLC comes out within 4-6 months it will sell well. When it's closer to a year gamers have moved on since then and sales of the DLC drops. So better planning is needed on the development and release of the game. The issue with GTA 4 was it was to constrained with the constant up keeping of your gf and your uncle, it was so repetitive and I moved on to the next game.

People need to learn how to research and read before buying something or preordering. I can see if a kid told his parents that he wanted a game and the parents didn't know. With the Internet these days, any one can go on and look at the summary of the game or game review to know it's a RTS and not a FPS before buying it. Even if you go on Amazon, it has a summary of the game and pictures of gameplay. So folks that just bought it without looking really don't have an excuse to be upset. Ev...

Apple only fixes vulnerabilities to the OS and apps, not viruses. They are 2 different things. Virus programs for Apple aren't up to par as with Windows systems due to Apple having less of them then Windows. If you have use an ISP like Comcast or Verizon you can get anti-virus for free (windows only). The sad thing is if you do get a virus on your mac (most likely you downloaded something and accepted it) you wouldn't know because most Mac users don't have anti-virus programs on them (bec...

I just recently bought a Macbook pro but still have my Windows notebooks. The big thing I have notice is that 3rd party support for Apple isn't as good as for Windows. For some odd reason the Windows version of the same programs have more features then the Mac version or they don't offer the same capabilities or there isn't a comparable program on the Mac.

OS X is more simpler, easy, more secure (linux based) but it lacks things like media center (you can buy 3rd party software...

The problem with it is the angle your thumb is at on the controller, if they turned the d-pad 45 degrees so up is about 2 o'clock (the pad would look more like an X then a +) , your thumb would line up with the pad.
