The Xbox360 has some great games and Xboxlive was excellent until Microsoft flooded the Xbox dashboard with non game related ads and went all Kinect crazy a few years ago.

At least 4 million of those 77million Xbox360s are RROD replacements.

I have many friends that are casuals and two that would be considered "hardcore" gamers.

The casuals use their PS3s for Netflix ,
BlueRay and sports games they have all said they are keeping their PS3s. a common statement is "my PS3 already does Netflix and BlueRay.

The two hardcore gamers are keeping their PS3s for upcoming exclusives the Last of us and Two Souls.
Even after that Im not selling or trading my PS3 for many rea...

Younger gamers seem to confuse a REmake ( ex Resident Evil REMAKE on Gamecube) with a simple HD UPDATE / upgrade like the Silent Hill collection HD.

Hopefully this collection will contain the original Metal Gear Solid with HD resolution and graphics smoothing and Metal Gear Solid 4 with all the added download content , music etc.

Lastly Metal Gear Solid the Twin Snakes is an excellent complete remake of the original Metal Gear Solid 1.

the Tw...

Looking forward to Lost Planet 3.

Im burned out on Call of Duty. MW3 was the last COD that I even remotely enjoyed. After the lackluster Black Ops 2 I have no interest in COD.

What else is Microsoft going to do ?

Microsoft relies on 3rd party developers and publishers so heavily because the Xbox brand only has two major IPs - Halo and Gears of War.

Sure Forza is a good racing game but its not a system seller.

Microsoft has to have something to use as an example of why the overpriced Xbox Live gold is woth $60.00 a year..wich of course it is not.

If Microsoft really wanted to prove to hardcore game...

Once again. Microsoft shows its true colors.

I have been a gamer since the Atari2600 days of old and I have always enjoyed having multiple game consoles in in each generation of gaming from the 8-bit days up to current gen.

That all changed with this generation because of Microsofts greed and disregard of the consumers both casual and hardcore gamers.

I started out this generation with both PS3 and Xbox360 but as time went on I realized tha...

Yep thats Microsoft for you.

This is how Microsoft treats its dedicated fanbase or "bend over and take it" the Microsoft slogan.

Says Microsoft to the Xbox gamer :

Dont want to pay for the online features of a game you have already paid for ? "too bad take it"

Dont want an ad filled dashboard even though you are already paying for Xbox Gold ? "too bad punk TAKE IT"

Want yo ...

I just recently picked up a new 250 gig PS3 Super Slim bundled with both the Uncharted and Infamous collection.

So theres no way I will ever sale or trade my PS3.

Heck I still have my Metroid edition Gamecube that I use to play The Twin Snakes, REmake , RE4 and RE0.

When I was a young gamer I traded my Turbographix16 collection for a Sega Saturn and a few games.

I will NEVER make that mistake again.

Thats a good suggestion Rebel.

If Sony is unsure about funding a completely new Shenmue game then it might be best to work a deal with Sega to bring The first two Shenmue games to PS3 as an HD collection or even as PSN games to test the waters and see if their is enough support for Sony to invest in Shenmue III.

btw I suggested the PS3 because of the already built in user base would be a better testing ground than a whole new console.

I still have my well used copy of the Dreamcast original.

I luv the Shenmue games.

I would buy two copies of Shenmue III just to show support for the game.

Shenmue III would fit the PS4 perfectly.

I have no doubt that the core Playstation community would support a core centric game like Shenmue.

After all the hardcore Playstation gamers support and more importantly buy "core" based games like Hea...

Yea they talked about Shenmue III at GDC.

theres a pic of both Cerny and Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki together at the event all over the web.

Yu Suzuki created some great AAA games for Sega back in the day.

It would be amazing to have him create exclusive games like Shenmue III for the PS4 !

Some incredible surprising PS4 news.

especially for long time Shenmue fans. ----

Sony PlayStation 4 lead architect Mark Cerny and Shenmue creator Yu Suzuki have discussed strategy for Shenmue III at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
This was confirmed by GDC Events General Manager Meggan Scavio. Could this mean Shenmue III may finally get the green light on PS4?

The most recent game that made me rage was Infamous 1.

Infamous 1 is a good game but you are constantly being attacked by enemies , shot at and sniped by the dustmen even when doing side missions.

Thank the gods Sucker Punch fixed all that with Infamous 2.

So now both Epic and Dice have basically confirmed that they are not supporting the Wii U.

Plus even game publishers and developers are stating that the WiiU is not next gen.

Things look very very bad for the WiiU.

Good thing Nintendo has a few billion dollars to burn.

But honestly how long will Nintendo back the WiiU if things keep going downhill for the console ?

Im not hating on Microsoft.

As far as Kinect being a casual device well when was the the last time you used the Kinect to play Battlefield , Gears of War or COD?

4689d ago 0 agree4 disagreeView comment

Hmm developers like EA ?

EA has lost both interest and faith in the WiiU recently. Ex. there are many gamestores that only recieved 1 or 2 copys of Need for Speed WiiU.

want another? Dice has no intention of developing any games for WiiU.

Many gamers lose perspective when it comes to the mass market appeal of a new gaming console.

Most casual consumers are perfectly happy with their current gen PS3 and Xbox360.

For example the PS3 already streams Netflix and plays Blu-Ray movies. Two very popular mainstream apps and features that the previous generation of gaming consoles did not have (PS2 ,Xbox 1 etc.)
The PS3 is the #1 device for streaming Netflix btw.

Therefore the ...

There have been many developers state that Kinect 2.0 is directly tied into the XboxNext OS.

That fact alone proves that Microsoft will still be pushing the casual / Kinect angle that they have been obsessed with for the last few years.
