it has been well documented and reported that Ryse development was very bad for the company and is part of the reason for their financial difficulties.

Those bags of cash Microsoft threw at them must have been pretty big to offset the amount of money they would have made from a Holiday 2015 PS4 fanbase (possibly 18million consoles at least by then).

CoD:AW has been in development longer than Titanfall.
Even if they intentionally borrowed some game mechanics from titanfall, the gaming industry is alive and kicking today BECAUSE companies have been ripping ideas from each other for decades. If they didn't do that, the gaming industry would have died a long long time ago.
