Destiny's launch was perhaps the smoothest launch of any online multilayer game in recent times. With barely any issues and any that did come up were fixed immediately.
But of course, despite that there HAS to be SOME moron who writes a blog post with a sensational headline like this.
The servers were scheduled to go live at midnight in every region the game was releasing.
Anyone who got their retail copy of the game early shouldn't have been able to play it, and even if they could it is NOT I repeat, it is NOT Sony, Microsoft or Bungies decision to break the street date. Individual retailers do that from time to time and it is something only they control.
This is not a guide. He lists a few bullet points. Doesn't tell you how to access those things at all.

The number of people playing the game on PS4 has been much much higher than Xbox One, in EVERY single poll I have seen, on whatever site or wherever it was ran.
By now, THAT many polls with the same result can't be ignored.
I really don't think that this is happening because of server load. I really really don't.
The PSN servers could handle the Destiny Alpha and Beta's without issues. It has handled the countless game launches since November.
It is pretty hilarious though that everyone has jumped on the Sony hate wagon and the PSN hate wagon so quickly. It's really pathetic.

Any issues stemming from PSN's quality is BECAUSE it has been free for the past 10 years.
