It's ported by a Japanese company. Not by Bethesda themselves. And Fallout 3's PS 3 version was way worse than the Xbox 360 version in comparison. There's no actual proof that the PS3 version will look/run better than the Xbox 360 one so far.

It's the fully playable beta (which is more like pre-alpha since its missing audio and even textures) with singleplayer and multiplayer.
Of course it's not. They wouldn't show just the Gunzerker class on cover when there are at least 3 other classes that haven't been announced yet. It's obviously a fancier placeholder art until they reveal all playable classes or find a better fitting art like the one first Borderlands had.

You guys do realize this will do the same thing what EA Online did for Mass Effect 2 right? It's just for accessing the daily news and uploading your character progress to Bioware Social. It's nothing more than that.
That's a great point. If you check the Eurogamer's New Vegas Faceoff article, you can see that PS3 version's texture data was around 2 gigabytes while on the 360, this was 1.2. Hopefully this means the PS3 version will look just as good if not better than the Xbox 360 version. I decided not to trust what some random guy said about PS3 version looking washed up in some areas and not going to cancel my PS3 preorder.

Erm no. Metal Gear started on MSX which then ported to NES because of the popularity in Japan but the port turned out to be a mess and was overshadowed by the MSX version. But if you're talking about Metal Gear SOLID then it started on PlayStation as a sequel to Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. So by your logic, the games should either be on Xbox (since MSX was a Microsoft system) or on PlayStation....
Oblivion was ported by a third party company and Fallout 3 was a mess on PS3 both graphical and performance wise. New Vegas had better textures on PS3 but had absolutely no AA and had some crippling performance issues when its released while it ran better on the Xbox 360 but it was made by Obsidian so yeah... I wouldn't comfort myself before the game comes out really. I also preordered the PS3 version but I'm looking forward to comparisons and I hope Lens Of Truth releases theirs befo...

You do realize that in Japan, Peace Walker HD is a seperate game right? This does NOT confirm that both MGS 2 and 3 will have their own trophy sets and platinums.
