Nothing's butchered. The game will have both old and new voice acting performances and you'll be able to choose between them. Both games remastered to HD and have 5.1 support which is amazing considering how much sound matters in a Silent Hill game. Also, Silent Hill 2 in the collection is the Director's Cut one that has Born From A Wish scenario.
There weren't any Locust during the Pendulum Wars. Emergence day happened six weeks after Pendulum Wars ended and that's when the Locust first showed their face. I love how people compare the most expensive Vita SKU to the cheapest PS3 SKU and claim Vita is more expensive. If you're gonna compare the two, at least have decency to use the base Wi-Fi model which is 250 bucks which is the same as the cheapest PS3 SKU out there. Not that it matters since one is a 5 year old home console and the other is a powerful next generation handheld.

Left 4 Dead isn't wildly considered as a horror game and Dead Space is just filled with cheap jump scares that you get used to after playing it for a while. All of those games listed there, including Resident Evil (especially 2-3), has variety of scary moments in them and that's why they're on that list if you ask me. And don't forget that it's just an opinion piece.
