No, because there still is RPG developers like Bioware, Spiders, Deck 13, Larian, Piranha Bytes and Topware Interactive that will bring their games to the PS5.
Plus that doesn't even include JRPGs that will be on the PS5 too.
I'm not saying it is happening, but it would be funny if Microsoft said they bought another studio a day before TGS, so then they can technically say they didn't announce a new purchase.
I personally though don't see Microsoft buying a new studio soon though. Microsoft wants to get back some of the money they invested into the studios they already own.
So I wouldn't hold my breath for another Bethesda like purchase.
I could see Sony try to buy Larian, but if Microsoft wanted to make a power move they'd buy them. This would also give Microsoft an in into this region of the world.
Another option would be to buy Topware Interactive and possibly peal off some talent from CD Project Red.
I'd have liked to have seen Spiders bought by a big publisher, but unfortunately they were bought buy Big Ben Studios, who said they want to keep them as an AA developer, instead of helping them become an AAA.
As for Larian that would be a big and great purchase. They in my opinion are do for great success very soon, that will make it so everyone knows their name.
I'll be brutally honest if Microsoft some how rebought Bungie this would be phenomenal news. Mind you I'm not a fan of Destiny, it just isn't my kind of game, but seeing Bungie back at Microsoft would be a big game moment.
It would be one thing if having commercials meant the game would be less, but that isn't the case and that isn't right. So this should be illegal.
With Halo Infinite coming out in 21, the best thing to do is turn it into a Xbox Series X only game.
I wish SquareEnix would remake the original series and then finally make a sequel.
I doubt this game will stay exclusive long and once the exclusive period is over Earthworm Jim will come to the other consoles. Depending on how much the team got for Earthworm Jim 4, it could be the reason we are even getting a new Earthworm Jim game to begin with and hopefully the money to make this game will lead to sequels and Earthworm Jim 5 to not be exclusive too.
People have wondered why I've said Ubisoft is the worst game developer out there and this is just more proof why they are worse than EA or Activision.
With how few game studios Microsoft has, I'm not surprised by this answer at all.
I still say Microsoft needs to create four more game studios, two in Japan, one in Eastern Europe and one in South America.
I personally would have said Obsidian, but seeing as they are now bought by Microsoft, I said Larian instead.
First of all Rare doesn't have to make it. They didn't bring back Killer Instinct. So I personally hope Microsoft works with Gears for Breakfast to bring the series back.
I'd like it to happen as much as the next person, but Bioware of today is NOT the same company as it was in the past.
So unless KOTOR III is made by a different company like Larian Studios I don't want KOTOR III.
This is a big get and I'm surprised a different game studio didn't buy them.
I hope this will allow the studio to grow and be able to take more risks.
If Microsoft was smart they'd make a new Banjo Kazooie game, but unfortunately they aren't smart enough to do that.
That is true, but everyone that uses their brain knows that last gen consoles hold games for new systems back.
This is more proof that Halo: Infinite should have been a Xbox Series X exclusive.
I know Microsoft and 343 won't be able to take full advantage of the new system, but I still think the best move is cancel the Xbox One version.
I agree completely and that is why I said add some instead of buy some more.
I've said in the past Microsoft should start up a few Japanese studios, so Microsoft would have a chance at getting the Asian market.
They also should make a studio in Mexico and Eastern Europe too.
I'd like to see Microsoft work with Gears for Breakfast to make a new Banjo Kazooie game. They did a great job with A Hat In Time and I know they'd do a great job with this game too.
