Well, that's a pretty good month though, isn't it?
Also, people ALWAYS seem to automatically associate "used" games with Gamestop. It would eliminate ALL resale of games, whether it's through Gamestop or eBay or ANY private channel. So you don't technically own the game. Which is fine, honestly, but as far as costs and rights go, developers aren't treating the sale of their games as what they are: extended rentals.
As SilentNegotiator said, the price for a game should be AT LEAST half of what they'r...
Well, you understand that it was not accurate for a Mojave to be scalping, right? Not that the series is all that historically accurate to begin with, but it's not absolutely crazy that they would change it if scalping was not part of the Mojave's repertoire.
Sweet, sweet nectar.
I can't flippin wait. JRPG's are making a long overdue comeback.
Well, in one respect I can understand where he's coming from, considering Kojima's own admission that he'd rather be making movies than games.
The fourth entry in particular, while still pretty great in the gameplay and presentation department, was mostly a convoluted, non interactive jumble of fart jokes, fanservice, conspiracies within conspiracies (which I just have to say as far as writing is concerned, is one of the cheapest tricks in the book), and sappy so...
There was a severe lack of dancing in that advertisement.
Wait wait wait....no there wasn't.
Game looks really, really good, surprisingly. Though, I've gotta say that Japanese developers don't really understand that just because we don't want every one of their RPG's to look like either Final Fantasy or Tales, it doesn't need to look like a generic western RPG either.
I mean yes, we Westerners loved games like Dragon Age and Skyrim, but it's still pretty widely accepted that neither game had the most awe-inspiring art styles in the world.
Yes...there is a very, VERY big difference between DLC that is taken from the finished product and monetized, and real DLC that is released to compliment the finished product.
What!? Damn it all!
Clever girl....

You're never going to win this argument with the majority of the gamer demographic. It's not like NT even said something ridiculous like "we don't like big boobs" (in fact if you read the statement, they're saying the exact opposite). There just WON'T be women with large, nearly exposed breasts bouncing around onscreen to attract a few horny nerds.
It's not really that dubstep is all that bad. But dubstep today, like most musical fads, is simply one tiny portion of a much larger genre that splintered into a ridiculously narrow, derivative sub-genre.
^It is a product of dub, garage and drum and bass.
It used to be just a small offshoot of electronica, but for whatever reason it was given it's own sub-genre, apparently so artists would have a template with which to reproduce the same crappy bass lines and syncopated beats for mass appeal.
^ Those were just a few examples. You've got all of Double Fine's stuff. You've got basically all of Valve's games, which are as much "generic shooters" as the Persona titles are generic RPG's. You've got Little Big Planet. You've got Bioshock. You've got God of War. You've got Prince of Persia. You got Mirror's Edge. You got blah blah blah. It's ridiculous that I even have to list them out, the statement was so ridiculous.
....that's BS. First of all, Catherine is obviously the exception in those three games, but Persona and Yakuza both have several games to their names that are all very similar to each other, so they're probably not the best examples to use when talking about originality.
Second of all. Military shooters and Bioware RPG's are obviously all the rage over here, but Western devs are creating "unique" experiences like Catherine ALL THE TIME. Journey, Limbo, ...
It's much more likely that this has to do with the rampant xenophobia that still plagues Japan these days. It is an OPEN and well-documented fact that Japan as a culture, dislikes any outside cultural influence whatsoever.
I don't mean that they need to cater to Western cultures, but aside from the "big" developers like Capcom and SquareEnix that blatantly attempt to emulate western identities (and usually fail), the large majority of Japanese developers are...
Simple as that.
I don't think so. The stories are passable (certainly not Bioware's best), but the rest is very, very standard MMO fare.
Dreamfall has an excellent story as well (about on par with the original in my opinion), though everything else about the game seems as if it was designed implicitly to get you to stop playing. The UI is clunky, the camera is retarded, and the combat...dear sweet mother of mary, the combat. It's no exaggeration to say it has some of the worst combat in any major release...ever.
I've been waiting so long. I bought it for like ten bucks on PC a while back (which made me feel a bit like a criminal) and only got about six hours into it before my computer crapped out in a big way. Such an awesome, awesome six hours though.
