I really wonder where you get the idea that the PS3 is finished. Last time I checked it was competitively selling with consoles two-thirds to one half its price.

I'm still very lukewarm to GTA IV. Nothing about this game has screamed "GOTY" at me. Yea, it's got a big city. But so did Oblivion and Fallout 3.
The gunplay is awkward, and driving is uncomfortable. I just think that there were many other games that offered better experiences. Yea the graphics were pretty good for a sandbox game, but I can honestly say that at this moment, I can go back and play GTA II and have more fun.
It's your opinion, and I haven't played the game. If that's truly how you feel about the game then that's truly how you should rate the game.
I give you props for not backing down with this review.
Sell your car/house and buy both. Or just pinch pennies for a while and believe me you can afford it.
Don't be sucked in by FirstKn1ght and Why o why in believing that one of them absolutely destroys the other. They are very similar consoles.

The most interesting point in this video is that they don't even compare the audio. Blu-Ray loss-less audio KICKS THE CRAP out of DVD audio. It is much much much better.
Obviously if Gears 2 came out for PS3 that kid wouldn't have been able to damage the blu-ray.

But you also need to look at the package as a whole. Yes, many games put more focus on online, while some focus on it exclusively (TF2, SOCOM), but the fact of the matter is that many games, especially recently have been given way too much credit for their online play. It certainly doesn't help that sometimes I just want to relax and play through a game by myself, so I look to see what games got pretty good reviews.
