EA: These developers are great, lets buy them.

Buys dev team, team makes great game, EA casualises it's sequels and adds monetisation, series fails due to EA decisions, shuts team down. Rinse, repeat.

EA: Why are all the teams we buy failures after one big game? It can't be our fault.

Hunts down more dev teams.

Just die already, or go and punt your bullshit on mobiles only.

I have never seen any generation of kids so zombified in recent years over mindless tat.

It's really not. Kids are just mindless sheep these days.

Still nothing special on PC looking as good as a two year old Horizon Zero Dawn, and now God of War.

PC gaming has declined since the price of GPUs boosted yet again... I refused to upgrade from the 9xx series of Nvidia cards because of it. It's just not worth the extra money for nothing much worth playing that I can play elsewhere at a better price.

This is from a previous fan of PC gaming. There is no master race, because there's nothing to dra...

Wrong. The story should be a talking point in a review, outlining the plot for a potential buyer, but the writer's political standing should be left out of the piece, as the writer may have clear biases that affect the score in the end.

If, however, a reviewer would like to paint a picture of their political standpoint on a game, a separate opinion piece is fine.

A game should be scored on it's gameplay, graphics, story, sound and replayability. N...

Finally, someone else who agrees with the respect angle. Do we not teach this as a basic foundation for life anymore?

2689d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Possibly, but it was obviously the Witcher stories that inspired them to want to create an RPG centred around the books.

It takes inspiration to create. You don't just suddenly click your fingers and have a gem of a game, film, book or piece of music.

Still... Good, old fashioned respect.

It's lost in this current world.

Very addictive. Can't remember the last time I played a wrestling game I didn't want to put down...

Oh yeah, No Mercy.

I am a huge CDPR fan, but at least offer the guy a little respect for the world and characters he created, even if he is a bit of a grouch.

Respect for creation goes a long way, no need to break the bank, just a token payment or something.

I know this will get downvotes, but credit due for building such an amazing world... I'm old school on this.

You do realise that if Microsoft as a company don't see the Xbox as a profitable brand in the future, it's toast?

They have better ways of making money, and their reputation after the Xbox One release and their penchant for cancelling games and deals have tarnished the brand badly this gen.

They probably have one or two more shots, and if they fail to produce games that make people want to choose them over the competition next gen, there's a p...

Fair points indeed.

I'm just sick of the media acting like they're controlling the industry. There needs to be more rules in place for honest and less biased articles, on all fronts. Opinion is one thing, stating half truths and fake news to get clicks and power is not on.

Division and controversy are killing off humanity.
