PS3 needs some JRPG love.

The Wii crowd is divided between two sects. Casuals and core gamers. Look at the core nintendo titles, (SMG,LoZ:TP,WiiFit,MarioKart) they totally outsell everything else. (3+ million for each) Casuals buy not only WiiFit, but also Party games etc. Core gamers are traditionally hardcore gamers but have really high standards, and usually buy some M and traditional games. (MadWorld, Zelda, MGS, GoW etc.)

HD consoles are divided as well, Fad gamers and Core gamers. Fad gamers just ge...

I just want to see the damned motion device now, it been 2 years of rumors and now I just want to see the product.

Because they doubled the sales as opposed to putting out on just one console.

We will see, but with SE trend of putting out mediocre games recently I take it with a grain of salt.

There hasnt been a major Nintendo 1st party game since last spring when Nintendo dropped SSBB, WiiFit and Mario Kart around the same time. After last spring nintendo has been really quiet about its upcoming 1st party games.

Some "M" games have dropped on both DS/Wii and Nintendo has not announced anything besides Punch-Out Wii.

So this is the time for PS3 to really catch on around the world and get some momentum behind it. PS3 has done well in Japan recent...

the fad gamers do not have a DS console. It has hardcore games, but its mostly from great JRPGS, platformers and fighters. This is a niche genre on the DS and you can see the DS audience snub this game.

Granted, it was nice for R* to try and make an impact with "M" games on DS, but the gamers are not there. PSP should have gotten this and FFVII Crisis Core would have done better on DS, imho.

Fad gamers mostly play 360, PS3 and PSP hence why they care so muc...

They took steps years ago to protect the exact tech inside the Wiimote.

Now its MS/Sony's turn to steal some thunder but..instead of being better than the Wiimote, they are looking more like the gimmick devices than the Wiimote itself.

360 with its "3d motion camera" looks cool on paper, but can you actually imagine 360 fans using just their fingers to move around, jump etc. Talk about waggling etc. They will be the ones waggling and dancing like a bunch o...

now they have to convert fad gamers (fanboys) and keep the casuals happy. Games like Conduit, Red Steel 2 and Madworld should cater to the fad gamers, while Wii Sports 2 should cater to the masses.

That is until this fall when they hopefully unleash some killer 1st party games.
*BTW- Nintendo can care less about catering to the fad gamers, but they are the vocal minority and devs are listening to them on the HD consoles, so who knows??*

I tried the demo a couple of hours ago and it was good (for a demo), but i realized that sandbox games aren't my thing and grew bored ASAP.

You gotta already love the genre to really have fun. The gaming mechanics were spot on, and the AI was too easy (*demo*). The graphics are good, but they should be at leasr good for a PS3 game.

Ill be skipping this and Prototype now since, im staying away from Sandbox titles. But if you LOVE random sandbox games, get it.

The Wii may have slipped lately in Japan, but that is because of the lack of any 3rd party games currently in japan. PS3 has had major games drop ever since Feb and Nintendo dose not have an answer yet.

The upcoming Wiimotion plus device, Conduit, Punch-Out, WiiSports Resort, Virtua Tennis, Klonoa and others will give the Wii sales a needed boost. Punch-Out and WiiSports 2 will be HUGE though.

PS3 needed this time to boost its gaming image in Japan, and it is doing ...

This gen has had some bad RPG, becuase of the lack of great JRPGs like previous gens. Only ME and Lost Odyssey are worth the time and money.

no matter the quality of the game, they will support it.
Sony wishes they had they fad gamers under their thumb like MS does.

This is a bad move because the Wii version of Ghostbuster actually
would have sold well, and at least been fun. Now we get to
BUTTON MASH in glorious HD.

since MS does not own Mystwalker. I hope, because PS3 needs JRPGS.
And VF5R ASAP!!

MH is a huge game in Japan and europe and now its looking to
take over NA. I have seen live video of MH3 on the web it is absolutely stunning. The animation and character models are some of the very best on the Wii.

i just hope they tighten up on the difficulty and story and they have a AAA winner.
