Its actually the media that are trying to kill the Wii.
There are "hardcore" titles on the Wii, it is just up to the gamers if they want to support it or not.
And as it stands, people would rather support the HD-era fanboy wars.
they are mostly mindless shooting games.
especially to help 3rd party games.
ie. Madworld

but there are different sub categories. Casuals play, play every once in a while and usually play games with no learning curve with instant satisfaction.
Hardcores that play all types of games, all types of consoles and has mastered a particular genre of gaming. Fad gamers which are a hybrid of both casuals and hardcores, but tend to play and buy games based on word of mouth and review scores.
on if your talking true hardcores or fad gamers.

because of the specific games that are unique to the Wii. To me the majority of the HD era games revolve around TPS/FPS games and I feel like that is really shallow and devs are riding that fad.
Twilight Princess, SMG, SSBB, DBZBT3, TvC, NMH, MadWorld, Tales of Symphonia, GGXXAC, Mario Kart, Punch-Out, Conduit, HoTd: Overkill, Metroid Prime 3, Nights, Klonoa, Castlevania Judgment, SPM, etc etc.
I could go on, those are reasons to pick up and play a Wii. The HD consol...
since that is the only thing fans have wanted since MP3 released,
anything else would be a disappointment.

But I still think that Conduit will do very well. CoD games did well on the Wii and are still played online today. Eventhough its an average FPS game, Wii owners will swarm on it because its a new FPS game with online for the Wii.
Im getting it, because it complements R2 and KZ2 for me. When I get tired of using the DS3, just pop in Conduit and get some headshots with the Wiimote.

We still get gems like NMH, Madworld, TvC etc. While the HD consoles get FPS after FPS or TPS after TPS. The Wii has more fighting games and better platformers/adventure games than the HD consoles so it evens out.
I actually own 13 consoles and the Wii and DC, get more playtime than the PS3. KZ2 and SFIV are the only reasons I touch PS3.

Hopefully the make the gameplay less arcadey and more intense ala KZ2.

this game is based off the Sparking games made by Spike. This could be a huge game if it can surpass BT3 in characters and defense. But this is my most anticipated fighter since SF4.
