Bold? It's what they do every year. They put out the delayed games from the previous year in the early part of the year.
Sony's Yoshida and Mark Cerny said it! http://www.gamespot.com/art...
I've always said it doesn't matter, it was the morons and Sony who were hyping it up.
As for Scorpio, they have options to do what they want, all first party will be native 4K though. Also, developers asked Microsoft for a true 4K native machine, so trying to take "options" in a whitepaper from last E3 as reasoning that most or many developers will checkerboard is nonsense. Devs want their games to run and look the best, no matter what. If a game can be native 4K o...
The narrative honestly changes to whatever Sony has...it's really unbelievable. The entire basis of this generation (including Sony's own advertising) was that native resolution was the big thing. Yoshida even Tweeted out differences in resolution in a picture. He said 1080p made you a better gamer ect
Now with Xbox Scorpio coming and capable of native 4K resolutions, all of a sudden upscaled games that aren't native are good enough? Digital Foundry gave PS4 gam...
I suppose it's okay, I'm at almost 10 on my Xbox One S right now. I use my PS4 only for the handful of exclusives that interest me, so it's usually 1-2 games a year tops. So 8 is fine, heck, I still have room on my PS4 as it is.
How is saying better late than never and asking for the ability to change my PSN name trolling? I guess in a Sony fanboys world asking for better features that have long since been on the competitions platform is considered trolling?
I always remember these posts when stuff goes to PC or PlayStation Now. Completely foolish to think Sony will never put PS4 games on that service. Then again, I'm sure the narrative will completely change, just like the resolution narrative has chang...
External HDD support! Only 8 TB but better than nothing, and better 3+ years late than not at all. Now...about that ability to change your name on PSN? I mean, better 12 years late than never?
Naughty Dog get a pass on everything they do, same with Kojima. I mean, Metal Gear Solid V scores prove that. Reviewers felt bad for his situation at Konami and scored a game with no story almost perfectly. Nobody called out the repetition of The Last Of Us, hide, throw a bottle, throw a rock, help a girl across some water on the same plank.
Same with Uncharted 4, nobody mentioned the lack of continuity with the other Uncharted games, even the fact that it's explicitly mentioned...
Ouch! That bad I suppose? Cautionary tale of listening to the vocal minority. Seems like Sony thought the people on the internet begging for this game were going to number in the millions. Game cost a ton, and already a price drop.
This guy here...... He's the Skip Bayless of analysts.
Nice of Sony to drop a fiver for people.
One example of a company buying exclusivity and having it blow up in their face. Street Fighter was HUGE on Xbox 360 last gen, and leaving that entire fan base out in the cold definitely hurt sales. Also, probably releasing the game as a full $60 title at launch was a bad idea, should have released it in Season format like Killer Instinct.
As long as people blindly buy into Sony's slogans they have nothing to worry about. A smart gamer might realize how quick Sony are to change the narrative. First it was all about resolution and power, now it's about gameplay and stories. So far they've denied the ability to do cross-play with Xbox Live, tried to patent the term "Let's Play", said no to EA Access, said no to backwards compatibility, lacked the ability to release their big AAA exclusives on time, raise...
I've never seen people damage control against an OPTIONAL game service that is one of the best things going right now. Like it or hate it, would use it or not, it SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO BE AN OPTION ON PS4. PERIOD.
It certainly puts them in a bad spot, no huge AAA title towards the end of the year. What they needed was a God Of War, Spider-Man, Last Of Us 2 holiday.
Why is it always a deflection to something Microsoft? How about "Sony should really fix this anti-consumer practice" and leave it at that.
By the way, taxes only in certain states.
I play 99% of the time on my Xbox One, so I'm gonna say no it's not.
Microsoft didn't lie, right at E3 2016 Phil Spencer said developers could use the power however they wished. http://www.gamespot.com/art...
Could be native 4K and it could be 1080p 60fps ultra settings.
The whitepaper gives developers options, it doesn't say it can't do 4K, it says you can do native 4K, but you can ALSO do th...
Not sure why the sting of Scorpio would be gone? Right at E3 Phil Spencer said developers were free to use Scorpio's power any way they want. The whitepaper backs that up completely. It gives developers options, including 4K native games. Microsoft should be applauded for not forcing developers to do 4K, but rather giving them options.
Also, Microsoft confirmed all first party titles will in fact be native 4K, and Phil Spencer has confirmed AAA 4K native games. People ...

Please stop acting as if Yoshida never pushed resolution. Here's more proof that he definitely pushed that nonsense from the start. Funny how it doesn't matter now, right?
