For anyone who hasn't caught on yet, the couple of screens released during E3 of what appears to be a PLR soldier in a blue outfit was almost certainly the console version once you inspect it up close. Agreed. The article only touches on the aesthetic side of things, which for the most part is sloppy work. It neglects technical advances in how games are designed and built. GTA's RAGE engine, for example. Easily one of the most impressive engines ever to come out of the industry, and without it, amazing titles like Red Dead Redemption would never have been possible looking the way it does.

I'm sorry, but there are some absolute fucking numpties posting on this video. Seriously, how the fuck can anyone say that Fifa is the same game rehashed year-after-year. It just proves they've never played it since 07, because if they had, they'd know how the game has went from scrap to the best football sim on the market. It has its flaws, but EA have improved this series MASSIVELY in the past few years, and the jump from 11 to 12 looks even bigger than what it was from 07 to 09...

It's always laughable when people say this kind of thing. EA are only doing the same thing what Konami were doing with the PES series years ago (and still are). It was those minor tweaks and changes that completely changed and improved the game. Only now EA are actually trying to innovate what football plays like on a console, yet people bitch about them making updates and introducing new stuff? Makes no sense to me.

Seriously, these kinds of mods are as old as the hills. There's been mods with the original Doom soundbites for at least 4 years now or more. The Classic Doom 3 mod had all these sounds, plus an entire map revamp using the D3 engine. I think this mod is about 5 years too late.
They don't really need to improve the visuals in the game. ME2 is still up there with the best looking games around. From these screens, its clear the lighting is vastly improved on, which is impressive and all that's really required.
