I think you are confused or want to be. "Because this is the company that started charging for something that was free long before they got into gaming" Why you keep saying that microsoft charge money on Games for windows to play P2P?
I know they do charge for the xbox 360 to play online... Why? because consoles are a different monster... Example... Console manufacturers sells their hardware at a lost in order to make money charging 3rd party royalties...

I know many people feel negative about Games for windows... but mostly is not because f what it's trying to accomplish... but more because the company behind it is Microsoft. Games for windows is free and it brings lots of features that it can only benefit the gamers.
Features like:
Single account login for all games. (Why would you want to fill out a form and register for every game you own?
Friend online status - Being able to track your friends ...
Nice crash... The only complain I have is the "Taken Out" Message... They should make it transparent.. it seems intrusive... Not the kind of thing I want to see when I am going hundreds of miles per hour...
Great value... I was expecting the chatpad to be more expensive... it even comes with a headset... not bad. not bad at all. I can't wait to see how this will impact many developers desicions to bring MMO and other games that do not translate well to consoles because of the gamepad or because of have to be sitting on a table in order to use a keyboard...
I don't want to sound negegative... but... I was expecting E3 to be worst than what we saw this year. At least they didnt let E3 die. But I have a feeling that things will never be the same. I miss the old E3... I don't care what people say... it was more exciting..

I'm glad I didnt buy a PS3 last week.. I was very close to it. I will wait until Rumble arrives... it's important to me... Just in case Sony comes up with some crazy stuff like... only the new SKU support it... (I know it can be enable via firmware.. and Sony is not stupid to not plan ahead just in case they needed to add it later). But just in case.
I can't wait to see how UT will look. If Epic managed to make a game like Gears which started development even before the xbox 360 was released and with an unfinish version of the Unreal Engine... I wonder what they will be able to do now.
This video footage looks great... not as great as the CGI scenes... but I think it does look great. They will have more time to polish more... and I think they will... Everyone's eyes are on them.

After so many days of good news and media for Sony.... Once again Sony's PR is trying to screw that up. For everything there is a time. Time to talk and time to stay quiet. Sony tell their PR and employees to just stay quiet. Leave things the way they are... wherever they say... true or not... honest or not... when things are going well... there is always a risk of messing things up... when you talk more than you should. Sony... leave things they way they are.. no need to say things like this...

Converting? I don't know about converting... I'm just going to focus on the games instead of the consoles... I will simply treat consoles as hardware... If a console has a game/feature/service I want... I will buy it. I will try not to miss on any great game by staying on only one side of the camp.

I knew this was going to happen... Microsoft was not going to allow the inevitable comparison between the elite($479) and the PS3($499)... since it's a given the PS3 have better value... I mean even if you are planing to use it just for watching blu-ray movies until the big hitters (Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Lair, Kill Zone 2, etc).

The average lifespan for consoles is 5-6 years before the same company released another console. The Playstation 3 may still be selling 10 years from now... but Sony is not being very specific about this... selling where? The PS2 keep selling for one main reason... the PS3 price... that's all.. if the PS3 would be cheaper people would not buy a PS2 since the PS3 can play PS2 games and the PS2 would only be selling in those countries where the PS2 is now cheap enough for them to afort it.
I can't wait for this freaken game! Yesterday I was showing this game(videos) some of my friends that only own xbox 360 and they found this game great. Regarless of the console... a great game should always be recognize. there is greatness on Warhawk... I hope they make more games similar to warhawk...
