I think I heard a similar story a while back. I think it was from china too. Kind of strange... how come people don't sense that playing that much video games is not healthy? the most I probably played it was 8 hours straight when I was in high school... We don't know much about microsoft plans. Yes, it's true that many gamers speciall sony fans rely for the most parts in titles like Metal Gear and undermind the power of new IPs. For example, 3 years ago... did we know Gears of war was going to be a AAA responsible of seling xbox 360s? How about bioshock? any word on mass effect? No long ago all people would say the xbox had was Halo.... how about now?

One of my motives to get a PS3 is FF13 but... people are saying that the game may be released as far as 2009... Sorry... but there is no way people should be planning for 2 years to play 1 game. sak500 makes a good point... you actually expected Sony to announce that they were going to give free HD TVs? heck.. even Bill games would be making a line to get a PS3. They gave those free tvs for marketting purposes.. to make noise... Well... these HD DVD offers are designed for the same purpose... Sony probably spent more money on the TVs than what HD DVD drives are costing them.
