What about Age of empire, Viva pinata, etc? Microsoft have no handheld... and they love the DS because it serves three main purposes...
1) They make money while it's not in direct competition with the xbox 360.
2) It helps microsoft create extra pressure to Sony since the DS is killing the PSP.
3) It create IP awareness in a market(Handheld) which otherwise would be non-exi...
This may never happen. Who publish PGR? isn't microsoft? I though you people would know by now what happens when a game is published by Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo.
This is not even a rumor. It's just wishful thinking. Bizarre Creations werent exclusive xbox 360 developers... they also make games for other platforms. basically nothing changes.
Xbox. Microsoft built xbox live and everything about xbox live to be community driven and it does not really have much to do with xbox live subscribers... even when you go to xbox.com you can see the forums.. even sites like MajorNelson.com, achivements, etc. All games have an online compontent even if only achivements and scoreboards... and games like Forza, Halo, etc the games are tightly integrated with their websites...
maybe things will change for the playstation now that Sony is...

Hyped does not equal bad. Simply that's over-market.
Take Pacman for example... hyped? heck yeah... everyone wanted to play that game.. I don't think there is one person on earth that does not know about Pacman.. the media still goes crazy over Pacman and even lots of restaurants were made in it's honor... bad game? hell no.
Is Halo 3 hyped? yeah... but it's not a bad game. That's the result of how easy it is to get the information to people now in days... everything can be over...

They have to be able to change their forecast base on changing variables. Isn't that common sense? and yes it works just like the weather; you never know. That's what predictions are all about.

I think Microsoft is playing nice with Sony. Halo 3 will make them money. If microsoft would want to just destroy Sony all they had to do is drop the xbox 360 by $100 and make xbox live free.
Of course many will argue that Microsoft is already losing money, but that does not mean they can't finantially. Also it's not like they wouldnt make it back with the huge installbase that would trigger. Halo 3 alone is prove of how much money can be made selling games.
