I hope this is true. I personally don't believe in any format though I own an HD DVD drive. I think digital distribution is the future.. all research an development should be invested in improving internet connection, compression technologies, etc.. and not on discs crap...
But after Sony's arrogance saying that the format war was over... that blu-ray won... and that HD DVD had no chance of winning... This would be a nice lesson for other companies and for people that actually ...

Microsoft is already doing that with the xbox 360. There is no technical reason why it can't be done. I think is more political... For example, Why Sony decided to support linux on the PS3 and not windows.. yet their PCs come bundle with Windows.
It will be nice if all consoles can cross-platform... PSP, PS3, XBOX 360 and PC... can it be done? yeah.. will it be done? Probably not...

I am so glad I didnt buy a PS3 yet... with Sony being force to drop prices... it's simply dumb to buy a PS3 now when Sony is lowering prices every 2-3 months. I think the best time to buy a PS3 will be X-Mas. With the PS3 games available today I don't see any problems waiting until X-Mas specially if you already own an XBox 360.
As predicted by many people... the wii will enventually die out... wiimote will get old and people will start focusing on [video] games... read [video] in the name? yes... graphics are also important... take away the wiimote and do you have? Last gen console. give it another year... when Mario, Metroid are both released and people played them...
I am not saying the wii is not fun... but simply it was not designed to sell for too long.

This game is a pure clone of Star Wars: Episode I: racer... the only thing is that it sucks. and the star wars was kind of good.
